WOW! Didn't Lost once get around 20 mil at the beginning of season 2? This is quite the dropoff. They better start solving some mysteries quick or the show will keep getting lower and lower ratings.

I second my comments from last week: Lost was never meant for the mainstream. Oy.

It's not like Lost fans have to worry about it going anywhere next season. That's still pretty good for ABC in that time slot. Lost may end up with four seasons, rather than an infinite amount, but wouldn't you rather they end it before they completely destroy it?

um, :| @lost

Last week's episode was amazing and I hear last night's was great as well. Why is it dropping like a rock?

Criminal Minds is down too. What's kind of baffling is Criminal Minds has been getting lower ratings for the past 2 (post-superbowl) episodes than the season pre-superbowl.

They all flocked to Heroes. Although I have shared my disappointment so far for Lost and its meandering plotline, I thought yesterday's episode was better than its previous episodes. but yeah series low. And I think Moodswing Jon jinxed it by saying he doubt that the show will hit below 13 million

No, that's not baffling at all. Idol came along. The fact that it only dropped about one million (from the final numbers) from last week, which was the second part of the post-Superbowl episode, is impressive.

well, Raffi, if you're any indication, many people hear quite a lot about Lost but fewer are actually tuning in.

They might need to move Lost to a time when younger viewers can watch it, even if on another day of the week. But since they only recently moved it, I don't see that happening.

I say they air two final 13 episode season at the beginning of the season at 9. They avoid AI altogether, and 13 episodes would make for tighter and less sloppy seasons. Anyone else agree?

ETA: I just realized that would also mean only one flashback per person per season. Since the producers don't seem convinced to get rid of them, that would probably be the second-best thing.

I am SO an advocate for 13 episode seasons of Lost now.

Ouuuuuuuuuch. Poor Lost. Who would have thought that it would have lost 6.1 million viewers between the season premiere and last night's episode? Certainly not I. What is wrong with people? I hope it doesn't lose any more viewers next week, after this past amazing episode.

Whatever happens on this show, I'm watching it to the very end.

All those who probably realized that sometime in season 4, they'll do a flashback sequence of the Fish that Jin once caught and how it helped shape the course of history. It'll be completely irrelevant but it'll feature the numbers, the fish Jin caught 2 episodes later and create discussions all over the internet about how creative lost is. 4 weeks after that, the Lost producers will once again create a self congratulatory thread stating how the episode they made was pure brilliance. No one will tune in for it.

Last night was the first full episode I have ever seen of Lost and only the second time I tuned in (the first was the episode were Ana Lucia bit the dust).

As a non-watcher, last night's episode was interesting, as one the hal fof one I saw before, but not enough to convince me to keep watching the show. I only watched last night since m boyfriend likes the show (he was grumpy that there was no Evangeline Lily).

I'll take Emilie de Ravin over Evangeline Lilly, but even Emilie had very few scenes last night, outside of the first ten minutes.

I'll alert him to your preference ;)

I'm concerned about Lost. I know it was Valentine's Day, but this much viewer erosion is kind of bad.
