Wow, people sure love disaster episodes. And Ugly Betty keeps on growing. If ABC can find a program compatible with Grey's, it's set on Thursdays.

'Tis a shame Survivor bogged down the NBC line-up. :(

I read somewhere that Ugly Betty and Grey's are two of the shows most affected by the college numbers. Are they already added in...?

Whatever it is, yay for Betty!

Obviously not, seeing as how Veronica Mars scored its worst ratings on the CW this week. ObviousLYYY once the college numbers kick in, VM will be up to 10 million a week.

AAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! :funny: :funny: :nutso: :nutso:

You keep telling yourself that. I actually don't understand VM's ratings this week at all. Other than some cosmic intervention to guarantee that I don't get my hopes up. :D But, last week, it scored higher than this week despite preemptions last week and none that anyone has mentioned this week.

This article says the following shows saw the biggest boost in the 18-24 demo:

Grey's Anatomy
Ugly Betty
What About Brian
Scrubs
The Office
Til Death (!)
Gilmore Girls

So, apparently yes.

However, this article says that Nielsen is using only 130 college students to represent 2.1 million. Bad Nielsen, baaaaad Nielsen. :nonono:

Jesus, 130 is not even a good statistic sample of 2.1 million!!!!

No wonder Til Death has been getting over 5 million (instead of 3-4 million lol).

Whoever thinks Survivor is going to die anytime soon is pretty much kidding themselves... a great # for the premiere.

Grey's Anatomy is insane. I remember how some people said it would get "crushed" by CSI before the season began.

Ugly Betty, in my opinion, is the biggest positive surprise of the season, ratings-wise.

Solid for the return of Survivor and CBS' lineup.

NBC should probably be satisfied with their ratings on Thursdays, considering the severity of the competition (especially Earl and Office).

The O.C. is maintaining a steady average for the final episodes, no matter how low it is. I wonder how well the finale can do...5-6 million, maybe?

Cool to see stuff like Betty, Office, Scrubs, & Gilmore getting a boost, but honestly, a sample of 130? That just seems ridiculous.

And I'm also really happy in general to see Ugly Betty having such a strong first season.

I'm still catching up (I'm on ep. 9 or something), and I'm not afraid to say that I LOVE it.

3.7 for 30 Rock? Talk about a slow and ugly death. It just keeps getting worse (Ratings) week after week.

st look I was like "wow, great number for Grey's natomy."

But I thought about it and isn't that its highest rated episode ever (aside from the superbowl)?
Didn't the season 3 premiere get like 24 million viewers?

Nice to see college thing helping out Grey's and Betty though I will never trust Nielson.

I think it actually might be the highest-rated episode of the season by a slim margin over the season premiere, which would indeed make it the highest-rated ever other than Super Bowl.

Did anyone notice Grey's and House each had exactly 24.95 million viewers this week? Odd.

Grey's Anatomy will probably come out on top in the end. I've noticed that shows that increase half hour to half hour have higher final numbers, while shows that decrease half hour to half hour have lower final numbers. Since Grey's almost always increases in its second half, and House probably loses some AI viewers, Grey's will actually have over 25M viewers in the end.

And I checked, and the only GA episodes to have higher viewership are the two bomb episodes (37.88/25.42M) and the season premiere this season (25.41M). Very impressive.

FOX needs help on Thursdays. House should move to Thursdays at 8 and FOX should use Tuesdays at 9 to help a series that actually needs help.

They really need to announce this like now and start advertising the move during Idol. The official move will be the first week after Idol finally settles into its normal schedule.
