Very good for Rules of Engagement. Unfortunatley I'll never be able to watch because it's on at the same time as Heroes AND 24, but whatever. (or is is switching to a new night?)

Monday nights are solid ratings-wise, ABC is the only network who doesn't do great on it.

I'm sure that's a season high for HIMYM.

NOW IMAGINE HOW IT WOULD'VE DONE AFTER THE SUPER BOWL, CBS.

nice gap between Heroes and 24

That's an awesome number for HIMYM. They probably advertised the heck out of it yesterday.

Heroes and 24 both remain solid.

I'm so happy for How I Met Your Mother! I would be very psyched if it were able to maintain that number for the rest of the season; it's A 18-49 viewership is also pretty high.

Rules of Engagement did well out of Two and a Half Men. Looks like CBS will probably keep the lineup of HIMYM-Christine-Men-Rules intact when Christine comes back.

Hmmm... looking back a few weeks, I think Heroes has affected 24 a bit more than the other way around.

24 debuted this season with 15.8 million and then followed with 15.7 million.
Once it aired opposite Heroes it took in 14.04 million and this week the overnights estimate 24 to have 13.6 million viewers.

Heroes returned with 14.9 million, dipped a bit the week after but overngihts report that this past monday it had 14.5 million viewers. It's season to date average of only new episodes before the hiatus was 14.4 million viewers. It's still only been a few weeks but looks like 24 didn't do much to Heroes' ratings and although 24 is doing fantastic, I think Heroes may have cut a bit into its potential.

Monday nights at 9pm is turning into a battleground.

CBS averaged 16.33 million (2.5 Men/Rules)
NBC averaged 14.56 million (Heroes)
FOX averaged 13.58 million (24)
ABC averaged 9.55 million (Supernanny)

That's a total of 54 million viewers from 9-10pm. I know we've been saying ABC's mondays are pretty darn weak, but given the competition and also given what they are actually airing in that timeslot (supernanny), I'd say ABC is doing rather well at 9pm (or at least it did so this week).
