I cant wait for its premiere on October 28, only about 14 days away. Its supposedly like Tales From the Crypt but with the hardcore gore content and at least has horror directors directing each episode
For those of you who havent heard of the show, check it out here

No ones looking forward to this show? It has quite a list of horror directors doing each episode like Tobe Hopper and George Romero

I keep hearing about it, but I haven't heard a whole lot. I'll be tuning in.

I'd like to see it but do not have Showtime so I'll hold out hope for an eventual DVD release.

Anyone saw the show today? Its alright although not as interesting as Tales from the Crypt was but not too bad at all. At least some parts of it were quite gory. Next week's episode is being directed the guy who did Re-animator and I cant wait till they get to the episode directed by Takishi Miike who did Ichi the Killer

Anyone catch any of the episodes of the show. The second episode was inspired by HP Lovecraft and had quite alot of TAles from the Crypt/Monsters influence behind it. Great episode especially the rat with the human face

I saw the second episode. I liked it! I sorta laughed everytime I saw the rat with the human face, because it looked so ridiculous, but other than that, it was good.

I just saw the first episode and I find it pretty good. Moonface was a great villain, and the end was great...

Last Episode was very blah. But at least it looks like next week's episode directed by Dario Argento looks very creepy and gory judging from the commercials

 Odd, since the premiere ratings were pretty bad. I don't mind, though, even if the show isn't as great as I had hoped.

The show wasnt too bad. I do agree the third episode was crap but the epidoe 2 and 4 were entertaining espeically how gory "Jenifer" was. In some ways its a little better than Tales From the Crypt because that show is somehow too humorour for its taste

I only saw 2 and 3. 2 was good, but I'm only halfway through the third and I'm not really liking it all that much.

Dance of the Dead was unwatchable. The witch episode wasn't much better. Seeing Jenifer eat that guy's penis was gory and somewhat cool (not to mention all the weird sex) but it failed to deliver the goods IMO.

The 3rd one was complete crap so ditch that one. Completely boring. However you should watch ep4 "Jenifer". That one was very gory

The asshole-ish guy from the third episode reminds me too much of Jack Black.

Jenifer has the prettiest face I have ever seen.

Coincidentally, the actress who plays Jenifer (Carrie Fleming) was born in Nova Scotia, which is where I live.

Just finished watching the latest episode, "Jenifer". It was a step-up from "Dance of the Dead", but I didn't think it was particularily good. Sure, it was gory. And I'm certain she was naked in every scene she was in. But it was too predictable. It was obvious the "homeless" guy at the start had a good reason for wanting to kill her, and you pretty much knew that Frank would end up getting shot and killed by someone else after trying to do away with her in the end. The cycle of Jenifer was meant to continue, and it did.

Worth noting: Steven Weber not only starred in the episode, he wrote the episode (which was based on a short story). Didn't know the guy from "Wings" and "The Weber Show" was a writer, too.

My problem with the series so far is that despite strong material and talent, the episodes are mostly subpar. I don't understand the disconnect.

It's almost as if the kids in the candy store don't know what to do with themselves.

This week's ep Chocolate seems more of the same.

Yeah, for as great as the talent involved is and how great this show should be, it's just not working. It's not clicking at all.

Although, I do enjoy the opening credits. That's normally the creepiest part of the show.

Maybe Dante, Landis, and Carpenter can turn things around.

Then again...
