Well, at least we can pretend that something beat Idol.

There go all my dreams of 6.2mil for VM. Oh, well. This is still the best rating it has ever gotten in the second half of the season.

I'm glad I didn't have high expectations for VM. I was ecstatic about the numbers. Then, PIFeedback was like a punch in the throat. I think that's the last of my visiting over there.

Yeah, I made sure to only read the first post and nothing else. Especially since I saw one particular name coming up quite often. But that's probably just because reviews for last night were really good, so he's feeling bitter.

I know it's unrealistic to assume the same viewers will tune in to VM next week, but I honestly don't think the numbers were that good from SOTU. I don't see VM as the type of show that outsiders will tune in to and watch fully. Call me naive! (Second time I said that in as many posts on the forum)

I agree. If the numbers had gone over 4, it would've been because of SotU, but I don't think this can be attributed to that. The only question now will be how it performs against House. But considering the fact that Gilmore was down close to 1.5mil from its last episode that it led into VM, I think this proves that VM doesn't really depend on it very much.

Great for Veronica Mars but bad for Gilmore Girls. That's a huge dip in the ratings.

Me too. I almost jumped for joy. It's a week-by-week thing, and for this week, it's good news, IMO.

I don't really understand them over there. It got 90% retention. What more could they want?

900% retention.

The fact of the matter is that VM did well, and that's all that matters. Next week, it could do crap numbers. But there's no reason to ignore the good numbers this week.
