Yeah, it doesn't have amazing retention out of Desperate Housewives, but it is remarkably consistent so far, which is all I guess ABC can really ask for (compare it to Six Degrees, for instance).

I think Boston Legal (AKA...the best show on TV!) did better out of the gate in that Sunday Timeslot. It was close to the same number, either way, but Brothers and Sisters, much like Grey's Anatomy, shares the same audience demographic as Desperate Housewives, where Boston Legal is more of a "guy" show than either of those, so I would have expected a bit better retention for Brothers and Sisters, but I am in no way an expert on TV ratings or anything to know what I'm even talking about here.

Well, Boston Legal was fresh off the Practice back then and DH was bringing in 3+ million more viewers a week. But Maverikk has a good point in that the BL demographic is less like that of DH than B&S.

That being said, B&S could be doing better. Nonetheless, it's finally stabilized rising almost a million viewers from last week's low. Housewives also got a pretty big boost and I'm sure next week can crack 22 million.
