According to Berman, it lost 11%. That's a normal number for a new show, but not nearly as bad as Six Degrees (30%) or Brothers and Sisters (20%). Hopefully it'll stay above Invasion.

That's not uncommon, but it does usually happen to shows that are doomed.

Yeah I'm done with The Nine.

Lost dropped a pretty fair amount, but it's not entirely surprising. I hope ABC realizes how important the next few episodes will be. These first six could make a huge difference in whether or not people will tune back in come 2007.

What I don't get is why they're starting the hiatus at the beginning of sweeps??

They should have done the episode split 8 for now and 15 later instead of 6/17. That way they leave after third week of November sweeps and return second week of February sweeps.

Honestly, Lost's numbers don't really matter anymore. That show has become so iconic and is generating so much revenue for abc from miltiple other sources and media that there's nothing to worry about.

That being said, I am actually disappointed with the number. People have more than one extra avenue to catch Lost if they miss it but still, I thought it would do AT LEAST 20-21 million. I'd hate to be on this side of the argument but this sort of does prove the drop in viewers last season has more to do with the show than competition. But again.... aside from maybe Grey's Anatomy, Lost still generates the most buzz and talk of any show on network TV, so whatever

18.5M is decent for Lost I think. I think that most of the people who saw it are apart of the core auidence, so I don't expect it to drop that much this season espically with the new schedule where there are no breaks in-between episdoes(except for that one big ass break).

Why do you think that?

Hm, do you think DWTS might've been boosted by Lost viewers tuning into the second half in anticipation, kinda like how Freddie did decnt numbers last season?

Ya, I think it had a small factor to play in it. That was a pretty high rating for a results show.
