Post subject:  Production on Kidnapped halted, Vanished moved to Fridays
Word from tvguide.com is production on Kidnapped will be halted after 13 episodes and the show will end. The producers did have a contingency plan in place so there will be a conclusion.

The other missing person show, Fox's Vanished is going to move to Friday nights after baseball as its ratings have been rather dreadful, drawing around a 4.2 rating each week. It will surely be canned soon as well.

Yet another example of how oversaturation of a certain type of show hurts all shows, just like last year with Invasion, Threshold, and Surface all not making it.

The only glimmer of hope for Vanished was the mediocre ratings it got after Prison Break. Now, it's as good as gone.

How many more episodes do you think will air before Fox pulls it? If they are still planning on moving "Bones" to Fridays as well, the two would be paired which would not be a good fit. Bones and Justice however, would as they're both procedurals.

One episode. The show will bomb horribly, and be replaced with reruns.
