Discuss ABC's new mystery The Nine, starring Lourdes Benedicto, John Billingsley, Jessica Collins, Tim Daly, Dana Davis, Camille Guaty, Chi McBride, Kim Raver, Scott Wolf, and Owain Yeoman. It will air Wednesdays at 10 PM ET following Lost. |

Billingsley is, by far, the best part of the already well-made pilot. |

So far it has the best reviews of all the new shows this fall 82, Dexter was 2nd with 79. Kind of surprised by the reviews because it looks too much like last summer's Windfall and its a hard stretch to make a full season drama out of the aftermath of a bank hostage crisis. I wonder when Neve Cambell will get her show since all the Party of 5 alumnis have theirs |

We'll find out what happened during the crisis over the course of the season (or maybe the series), but it's far more plausible that "The Nine" can become a long-running series. |

I liked the pilot but it leaves too much to be desired -- too many questions left unanswered that I'm not sure I'll have the patience to wait around for. |

Yeah, that's a big issue. Unlike "Veronica Mars" or "Lost", where you want to wait around for answers (for me, at least), I'm not certain I want to wait for any answers. In fact, I don't care about answers. If I'm watching "The Nine", it's for the cast (Billingsley, Tim Daly, Kim Raver, etc.). |

Expect the series to be cancelled because of Tim Daley's curse but at least its not the Ron Edard, Jason Gedrick curse ![]() |

I think it will do well tonight and maybe for a few weeks, but once Lost goes into hiatus until February, the show will be average at best. |

So, I guess the character played by Lourdes Benedicto, is...not so much a main member of the cast? Considering her character dies in the pilot? |

It didn't pull me in enough to make me want to sit down and wait for clues to be dropped and the smallest questions to be answered. I'll try it out for a few more episodes, but I'm not really feeling connected to the show just yet. |

Wow I highly disagree with the tv critics on this show, its so damn boring just like how Windfall was during the summer. It looks like they are doing a reverse of Lost where alot of the mundane ordinary drama is shown whereas the actual hostage flashback would probably be shown 5 minutes per show. Im definately tuning out of the show if it doesnt improve on the next episode. |

Yeah I'm not sure why critics liked this so much, but since it's after Lost I'll give it one more shot next episode. I mean, it was well done for a TV show, but hardly compelling. |

I thought it would focus more on the hostage situation itself, but it seems to be more of a portrayal of life after the hostage situation instead. I'll give it a couple more weeks to see if it gets interesting. |

Not particulary interesting show at all, and guessing flashbacks will start pouring from second episode... |

So I tried to watch another episode. *yawn* This just isn't doing it for me. The male surgeon is The Nine's Charlie. The cop... Is like every good cop TV has ever shown. The previews for next week's episode even give away what everyone's been hiding from the girl. Wow they're desperate to keep viewers. I saw ads for the show Daybreak with Taye Diggs, and they said it would be starting Wednesdays. Guess that means they'll be switching that with Lost after Lost goes through it's first six episodes? Either way, it looks GREAT, I can't wait to see it. |

I really did try to give it a chance but the aftermath of a Hostage crisis just seems like a borefest and there was nothing explained really new about the hostage crisis. Daybreak does look interesting though with its groundhog's day gimmack |
