Season 10 of The View starts today. It's on right now actually. Anyone else besides me and Loyal watching? It's definitely Rosie's show today, and might be her show from now on. Elisabeth looked a little depressed at the start of the show, but she apparently chopped off her hair and regrets it. Joy and Barbera are taking a backseat to Rosie's ride. I guess it's expected, seeing as how this is her first day on the job.

Their half-assed discussion of Steve Irwin's death was overshadowed by Rosie Rosie Rosie, and then the meager discussion of Irwin all came to an abrupt end when Rosie announced that the audience was going on her cruise for two days. Whoopee.

Jessica Simpson chopped her hair off too. Elisabeth can kinda pull off the short hair look, although it does look like she got a haircut from a blind zombie wielding a chainsaw. Jessica just looks like a lame Barbie doll.

Rosie is still controlling the show. Barbera looks a bit PO'd.

Fairly certain Jessica Simpson is lip-syncing. What a shock.

I shall see the rerun of this episode at 11pm today.

How would you rate their talk? Does it feel awkward? Is Joy still funniest?

You really wouldn't notice that Joy is there. Any leftovers from Rosie go to Barbera and Elisabeth. I think Joy gets a funny line or two in, but that's about it for her.

Hopefully, the four will be able to co-exist on the show without Rosie taking it over completely.

I think it may level out once Rosie gets officially incorporated. Her first episode was a big "Hello, welcome back!" tribute kind of thing to Rosie.

I thought O'Donnell was really good. She made fun of herself all the time and all the hoopla around her joing the show.

"And you guys thought I would have trouble with Elizabeth."

That was an awesome line. Rosie is a little too animated for me, but she makes me laugh, personally. I also like the re-do of the set; far less bland.

PEACE, Mike.

Overall, the new season gets a thumbs up. I do realize it was Rosie's big welcome back show, but Rosie is definitely a BIG personality. Hopefully there will be enough room for Joy and Elisabeth to get words in.

I wonder when a replacement for Star will be found. I think the four should stay as is, but I believe they're moving forward with a replacement. I think they should wait till November to start looking, to give Rosie her time to settle in.

I think the show is now actually really funny with Rosie.

Granted, I only saw 3 or 4 episodes of the show in the 9 years it was on before she came, but...

I watched a couple this week and liked it a lot.

I've only seen bits and pieces since Rosie has been on, but I didn't like it. Rosie is too overbearing and is too big of a personality to run a show with three other people. The parts of the show I saw, she was cutting the other hosts off left and right, SCREAMING as opposed to talking normally, and in some cases, just being obnoxious. She's someone who needs her own show, I don't think it works well with her there.

X, you know me so well.

I'm loving it. I was a fan of The View prior to the big Viera/Jones-Reynolds shake-up. I also watched Rosie's talk show religiously when she was on the air.

When James McGreevey appears on the show, I expect much fireworks.
