I'll be watching, I usually pick one show that watch once school starts, more then that and its to distracting, plus I ge tup at 4am, so I like to be in bed before.

I am so excited about this season, I can;t wait to see Tucker Carlson, who I used to want to strangel with his bowtiw when he was on crossfire. Having Vivica Fox is just so awesome, and tJerry Springer should be fun.

I hope Harry Hamlin goes early, I am so tired of Lisa Rinna and her collegan lips and plastic looking self, I want them both to go away.

Is Lisa Rinna involved again this season? I agree about Harry Hamlin. I would just love to see him, Mario Lopez, and Joey Lawrence make asses of themselves.

Lisa Rinna was kinda annoying the way she'd constantly jump in front of Stacy Kiebler whenever George Hamilton started fawning over her. (jealous much, Lisa?) She would try to put a stop to it quickly every time.

I might watch this season, I started watching a little bit towards the end of last season and found it surprisingly entertaining. I was rooting for Stacy Keibler, though.

DeLay's 'Dancing' Choice

Can Tom DeLay have the same amount of influence when it comes to reality TV voting?

Even before next Tuesday's premiere of "Dancing with the Stars," DeLay is urging those on his mailing list to swing its vote to one competitor in particular, the Republican-friendly country singer Sara Evans.

In a letter DeLay sent to his mailing list, he said:

Sara Evans has been a strong supporter of the Republican Party and represents good American values in the media. From singing at the 2004 Republican Convention to appearing with candidates in the last several election cycles, we have always been able to count on Sara for her support of the things we all believe in. Let’s show Sara that same support by watching and voting for her each week to help her win this competition.

Equally as important, the letter goes on:

One of her opponents on the show is ultra liberal talk show host Jerry Springer. We need to send a message to Hollywood and the media that smut has no place on television by supporting good people like Sara Evans.

Sara, he concludes,

... will be a great representative of the values that we want to see in the media and we should all support her to keep her on the show as long as possible.

And you thought your votes for "Dancing with the Stars" were just about dancing.

What is it about "Dancing With the Stars" that's making folks act so nutty?

First, disgraced former House Majority Leader Tom DeLay - who apparently has some time on his hands while awaiting trial in Texas for alleged political corruption - wrote a grim letter on behalf of contestant Sara Evans. DeLay exhorted viewers of the ABC audience-participation show - which launches a new season next Tuesday - to vote for the Republican country singer over contestant Jerry Springer, a Dem, because "we need to send a message to Hollywood and the media that smut has no place on television."

Now the Rev. Al Sharpton, a staunch Democrat, has thrown his support behind conservative MSNBC pundit Tucker Carlson.

"We are living in trying and uncertain times," the good reverend writes, tongue in cheek. "That's why now, more than ever, we need a strong leader who will stand up for what we believe. Better yet, we need a leader who will dance for what we believe. Tucker Carlson is just such a dancer."

Sharpton continues: "Watch Tucker do the cha-cha and then call in your vote to make sure he advances to the next week's show. You can call as often as you like. Remember: Voting in celebrity dance contests is not just your right in this country, it's a privilege. ... If you sit back idly and fail to perform your civic duty, lesser dancers could win this competition. America simply cannot afford that. "

Yesterday, Carlson admitted to me that he actively sought Sharpton's endorsement. "Nobody turns out the vote like the Reverend Al," Carlson said.

Sharpton, meanwhile, explained: "I want to balance the influence of DeLay and at the same time get a right-winger off talk television and help Tucker find another career. I think it would be a great contribution to society to have him as a cheeseball disco dancer than a talk-show host propagating right-wing politics."

What a loser..

People will vote for Sara because she's a goddess who will fill out her costumes perfectly, not because of her political preferences.

Anyway, the season begins Tuesday! I count 3 viewers here. Myself and two chicks. I'm betting I'm not the only guy watching, but I must be the only one who's not too "kewl" and too "manly" to admit it.
