Post Mending Wounds: Open Invitation To Alias Fans From 24 Fans
I'm sorry your show is no more. :cry:

But 24 will be around through 2009 and I would love for you to join us in celebrating Jack Bauer's wacky misadventures.

So come on, Marshall is a bit like Chloe. :hug:

Is this like the Conan Obrian segment called "cheer up"?

I say Michael should give 24 another chance next January.

Either that, or he'll be kicking the bucket due to lonely nights and lonelier days. Lonlier. Loneliar?

I dunno.

I am an Alias fan, and i have no plans to ever watch 24. I tried S2 (or 3?), but it was just not interesting to me at all and i did not find jack bauer to be a solid lead. The supporting players were all rather "meh" as well, but i was comparing them to Alias'. It wasn't intentional or anything, i was just watching and thinking "okay, she's like this show's Marshall. Only Marshall i way better." Plus, Alias' Jack was always more fascinating to me, not to mention Victor Garber is a better actor than Keifer "damn it" Sutherland.

It seems like more people were talking about 24 this year than any other. It made me want to start watching it again.

I loved the first season. Lost touch with it after that (despite owning season two), but I might just start again next year.

Don't forget:

24 = on for 3 more years
Alias = cancelled

3 more years?! Since when? Just cause Kiefer is signed for three years?

Eh... I hope it's not on for that long. Season 7 sounds better.

Then again, I find myself always saying "The show can't get better" and by the end of each season ('cept Season 3), I find myself declaring the season its best ever.

Seriously. Season 5 was the best.

Not to get huffy or anything, but i didn't know that having more seasons automatically makes shows better than ones that weren't on as long. I guess that means that the Simpsons and Law and Order are the 2 best shows on now, right?

It's Fox's only hit drama. It'll be on well into the second Gore term.

Cheer up Alias fans

Its not the end of Alias. Former cast members of the Alias show will make appearances on 24 like Michael Vartan for example. He can be that one CTU subordinate who gets killed in just 10 seconds. Its better than nothing. Also Lena Olin, she is guest starring as the cleaning lady for CTU

I don't think Season 5 was the best BUT there are elements within each season that continue to amaze me.

Maybe we can offer CTU t-shirts or ringtones to Alias fans as an incentive.

Law and Order is a good comparison, 24 will be the spy thriller equivalent over time as it goes on.

No worries Alias fans, Cheer up. It was bad enough that the ratings are divided between 24 and Alias. We use to fight amongst each other like a divided China. Now that Alias is gone, we are sadden by the news but not entirely because all us spy espninoge fans are now united and with you Alias fans spilling over to 24, 24 may gain an addition 2.0 million viewers

I think you just swayed me into 24 camp with that one.

Still never saw 24... does Jack go undercover and dress up as a sexy maid or nurse at any time during the show?

I think alias' ratings decline in just one season is a little lesson that you guys shouldnt get[i] too cocky[i]. It takes one bad scheduling move....
That said, its unlikely that anything other than a dramatic drop in quality will kill 24, but its definately dead 2009.

I dont mind 24. I liked it way back, but im not going to watch it again.
Im sorry, I just liked Alias for very different reasons, 24 is just....a very different show. I cant really watch it now without rolling my eyes or getting bored.
It was great season one though. Great and original and not dull or formuliac at all.

Two huge differences Michael

Fox loves 24

Audiences love 24

Come join us.

Audiences also love Two and Half Men, doesn't make it anything more than attrociously terrible. American Idol, CSI, Greys Anatomy are like, the top 3 shows in America right?

Its not that I think 24 is a terrible show. It used to be good. But it hit a wall straight after its first year and its never succeeded in gripping me since. I just cant watch it without feeling shallowly manipulated, and I dont really like Jack as a character at all any more so I dont know why it'd be worth my while to watch the show.

This said, I understand why people like 24, but its not what I look for in a TV show. Alias set the bar too high for me to really get involved in 24 or even Lost.
