The Unit premiered last night on CBS. What did you guys think?

For us 24 fans, it was great to see President Palmer (Dennis Haysbert) in Baur's role with the gun. I think I'll be watching this every week and it got solid ratings last night with 11.4/17 building on its NCIS lead in.

It was really contrived and acted way too sentimental by trying to get us to feel for the rangers by showing what homeland life is for their wives. Last summer's Overthere suffered the same problem, I just felt bored with the show and the constant whinning by the ranger's wife wanted to make me roll my eyes. Pretty disappointing

24 is alot better than this show. Too bad Dennis Haybert was killed off in 24 so he can do this show. Hopefully they can bring him back from the dead in 24 with headwound in tact

There is no doubt 24 is better b/c 24 is better than every show on TV. But I think Palmer was tired of seeing Bauer in action all the time and him being stuck in the White House, he wanted some action. And now he has it.

I too wish they could somehow bring him back from the dead by saying he wasn't really shot or something. ;)
