FYI, no thursday ratings update, because Berman is taking another vacation. Shouldn't be too big of a deal, since Deal or No Deal is the only new episode on tonight.

Dayum @ Deal or No Deal. It will probably break 15M viewers tonight! I wonder it it can increase on Friday too.

I wonder if NBC will make Deal or No Deal a regular series?

Also, the Futon Critic is also not updating until after X-Mas.

NBC is probably flipping out over this minor success of Deal Or No Deal and will put it on every single day of the week somehow, just like what ABC did to Who Wants To Be A Millionaire.

Not that good for OTH, not terrible though. Hopefully it amasses a strong comeback after the break. If it doesn't, it might lose it's position on the fall schedule. :nonono:

I wanted to check out the show, but never got the chance. Could NBC turn it into a regular series? I doubt it would work outside of a week like this, though. It's Christmas week with almost all repeats on the network, so it's obviously a great match for TV. Same as Dancing With the Stars last year in the summer. I bet it will do fairly well for Thursday, but it won't be as big as its summer run.

I haven't been into TV much lately. What the heck is Deal or No Deal. Is it a game show?

Yep. I haven't seen it yet, but I've heard details.

Yea. There are like 26 cases (around there). The contestant picks one with the hope of $1,000,000 being inside. Then, each round they pick a certain number of cases that remain. Whatever number they pick is obv. not in their case. The goal is the pick the cases that have low numbers in them (it ranges for .01 to 1,000,000) so the bank will be afraid that you have the million in your case and offer you a lot of money to buy the case from you. After the bank offers you a certain amount of money, you can choose to make the deal, or say no deal and have to pick a certain amount of cases over again before the bank gives you another offer.

Wow. Sounds like all game shows in the Philippines.
