That CSI just continues to roll over the competition, and it's kinda funny that none of us watch it here. I'll do the chart later. I have to get ready to leave shortly to go see Jarhead.

'Tis official: Berman is CBS's bitch.

And I watch CSI, and I'm sure other people here do. We just don't see much of a reason to talk about it. Last night's episode was good though, and next week looks even better.

And the fact that POTC can get over 8M viewers on ABFrickenC Thursdays shows just how big it is. I'm becoming more and more convinced that POTC2 will pass $400M.

Anywyay, back to TV. It looks like Reunion is getting the axe soon. . .

I watch CSI. I always considered a thread, but I don't watch the other shows so it barely seems worth it. CSI is the only crime drama I watch, and I was watching it when it was dominating on Fridays in 2000.

Everybody Hates Chris continues to slip, I think. I'm not a big supporter, but if it's going to level off, now would be the time. Hardly seems worth it, considering the poor performances of every other Thursday sitcom on UPN.

I didn't start watching it until its third season. I think my first episode was the one with a cannibalistic cheerleader. It gave my sister nightmares! Since then, I've been a fairly consistent viewer.

Fox will probably at least let Reunion have a full season, it's a very gimmicky show that seems to designed for one full season and nothing more.

They'll probably get most fans of the show really upset if they cancel it before the whole yearly thing is played out. I mean, it happened with Tru Calling.

I have also been a CSI fan since it started in its Friday timeslot, it seems so long ago. It is one of my favorite shows on tv but it isn't one of those Alias-type shows where as soon as it is over you go online to talk about it. I watch it, enjoy it, then watch the repeats, buy the seasons, but not really chat about it.

Same. I only have Season 4, but I wouldn't mind getting other seasons eventually. It's just a show to watch whenever, without really committing to the whole season (or a series of episodes). I don't watch many of those shows anymore. 24, Alias, Prison Break... all these shows are committments, but CSI is just a "watch whenever" show.

I watch CSI as well, and I agree that it's one of those shows that is awesome, but you don't feel like talking about it afterwards.

Is ER officially NBC's highest rated show?

Sad, really. I mean, I love ER (last night's episode was fantastic), but it's just sad that 10 years later, it's still propping up the network.

No, L&O:SVU is. Of course, a spin-off of an ex-hit being your biggest show is equally sad.

It's not that sad. SVU is powerful, gripping programming. There's no shame in that being the highest-rated show NBC has.

I think the point is that the highest rated NBC show is a creatively bankrupt investement from the network which turned out to be good in talented hands. Either way NBC didnt really care all they wanted was a spinoff from a staple to provide viewers and ratings

I dont expect Nighstalker to return.#

Smallville slips slightly. Everybody Hates Chris is down...AGAIN. I mean the show hasnt stopped falling since its premiere.

Slipping? Ha!
The ratings for the show is the same as last week while Smallville just slipped quite a bit from last week. Pretty soon Joey would be gone soon too

P.S - Marc Berman claims the OC loses audience to Smallville. Whilst true, Smallville has also lost audience to THe OC
When it, Alias and The OC air together, ratings are going to be very weak for all three.

The viewers have been slipping steadily since the debut. Which for a sitcom in its first season is not only unusual, but its not great news. A sitcom should have a high repeat rate and therefore steady viewership. Joey, as awful as it does, has a solid core. Chris' viewership is fizzling with the buzz. Smallville's ratings arent bad, but typical of former seasons.

No but really, did anybody watch ER last night?

Still some of the best writing on TV. Well last night's, at least. Maura Tierney has awesome comedic timing. And John Leguizamo is actually a pretty good addition to the show.

So, does anyone know how WB/the OTH vs Mars saga did on Wednesday? I can see on Zap2it they mention the Related repeat beat the Veronica Mars repeat. OTH has been raising every episode, and I wouldn't be surprised if they had a hand in that.

I watched Smallville for the first time because I heard both the old Dukes of Hazzard boys were going to be on it. So one of them is a regular on the show? Huh. Their scenes with the car were pretty funny. Not too bad of a show.

My bad! Chris went up. Seems to have levelled off then at above 4.0. Still... It might be better off replacing a Monday sitcom and staying there, rather than anchoring an entire night (which it is evidently incapable of doing at all).

Not your bad, the viewing figures are actually down. Again.
Ratings points mean very little allround. The number of people watching sets is what matters.

Well, whether it's good or bad (good on its own, no matter how much we argue otherwise), the rest of the night is horrid, and way down from WWE Smackdown last year. Since Smackdown is faring well on Fridays, I say UPN should take Marc Berman's advice (gulp), and air a more compatible comedy out of Chris, and put a drama/reality show at 9. It's not an instant-win idea, but obviously four comedies are not working too well. In fact, outside of Chris, UPN has never really found success with comedy outside of Monday nights. A drama might gain some viewers at least, and hold an audience.

I think UPN should put All of Us after EHC, as that is the only other family sitcom on the network right now.

Interesting how CSI gets its best viewership numbers this season (Highest early viewership numbers, that is), yet gets its worst rastings share.
