 "Close to Home" Thread
I've been watching this CBS crime drama about a prosecuting attorney (Jennifer Finnigan). It originally did not look all that good but I've found it to be one of the most consistently entertaining hours of TV every week. It airs Tuesdays at 10/9 Central. Tonight's episode concerned a brother (adopted) and his sister (not adopted) killing their parents so they could be together (It turns they were having sex on a regular basis and once their parents found out, obviously they had to put a stop to the possibility of one of them being sent away). It was a forbidden love, 'Romeo and Juliet' in reverse. Sick but undeniably entertaining nonetheless.

I should watch it again. I thought the pilot was entertaining but nothing fantastic (generic procedural with simplistic suburban spin), though like you said, I've heard it's been pretty good in recent weeks.
As for the show's ratings, I, along with most of the media, thought this thing was a surefire hit, but it's definitely been underperforming (even lower than Judging Amy, I believe, which formerly occupied its spot), and I'm wondering what CBS is thinking of doing with it.

I really hope CBS doesn't cancel it. The cases are consistently intriguing and Finnigan has spunk and a "I don't give a crap, I'm going to get the job done" bitchiness about her that I like.
