Well, we are about a week and a half away from the first new fall season entry from any of the major networks, and it happens to be from FOX. Here's a short premise: "This drama focuses on a prison designer who gets himself thrown into one of his own prisons to help his falsely accused brother escape death row. Described as in the vein of The Great Escape , the series will unfold over 22 episodes, charting the course of a single break." Of all the new shows this fall, I am looking forward to this and "My Name is Earl" (NBC) the most. The rest have their work cut out for them in convincing me to watch. These are the only two shows I'll be seeking out, just from hearing about them. It sounds like a one-season deal, but apparently there might be ideas for future seasons. Not sure at all how, but we'll have to wait and see, I guess. The series premiere is on Monday, August 29th, with a two-hour premiere that is directed by Brett Ratner. The series stars Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell. The series resumes its regular time slot on Monday, September 5th at 9pm EST. |

This show looks great! I will be tuning in for the premiere. Unfortunately, it will only last half the season because mid-season it is getting replaced by 24. |

True, but I would guess that if Bones didn't work out well enough on Tuesdays, it would be replaced by Prison Break. Then again, Prison Break might not make it past a few episodes, with the unproven lead-in of "Arrested Development" (in its third season, and still without the ratings support) and newcomer "Kitchen Confidential". |

Prison Break is actually one of the only new shows that I am remotely interested in. Too bad I'm on vacation when it premiers. O well! ![]() |

I'm looking forward to this. It has an intriguing premise for a series, big name talent behind the scenes (Mimi Leder and Brett Ratner are involved), and a good cast with Dominic Purcell, so great in "John Doe" leading the way. I'll definitely watch August 29th. |

I had my doubts that "24" could hold my attention for 24 episodes, and now I'm EAGERLY awaiting Season 5. I hope Prison Break does well in the same way. |

It looks like it could be a very interesting show, but I think the premise would work better as a two hour movie. |

The other new shows will have a hard time topping this one as the pilot of the season. It was fantastic, from beginning to end I can't wait to see how it unfolds over the course of the season. I wasn't even looking forward to it before watching it, but now I can't wait for episode 2. |

Is episode 1 two-hours long, or just one hour? I suspect one hour, and the two hour pilot will actually be Episodes 1 and 2, and not just one big episode. |

Yeah, the episode released was just one hour, meaning 1x01 and 1x02 will both be on Aug 29th |

well I just watched the pilot and it was great. It's not a ripoff of 24 and it will work very well as a series. Can't wait to see episode 2 tomorrow night. |

Flava'd‡ wrote: EW gave this show an A- ![]() I see this show performing similarly to Dark Angel. Remember when Dark Angel got bigger ratings for its premiere than the presidential debates in 2000? It got like over 17 million viewers. Then, the show pretty much sunk to low numbers. I see a nice debut for Prison Break, and I just hope it levels off nicely, and helps the two FOX comedies (Arrested Development and Kitchen Confidential), as well. |

FOX is obviously notorious for mishandling dramas. "24" and "The O.C." are the only recent dramas that I know of that FOX has handled with care. Sure, they were idiotic to move both shows last year, but it ended up helping them (24 especially). "House" is just an anomoly. But, with FOX debuting its schedule BEFORE the baseball season (where most shows are pre-empted anywhere from two to four weeks), I think they might do some serious damage to the competiting networks. Nothing outstanding, but I'm sure they won't be counting down the seconds to American Idol like they have for the past three seasons. |

Me no like. I thought it was too stupid for words, and I just didn't find myself compelled by any of it. Don't think I'lll tune in again. Bring on the next new show! |
