One Tree Hill is also pretty bad; But its not AWFUL Like the O.C.
OTH is kind of kitsch. I like how its trying to emulate the O.C but actually kind of got sidetracked with originality. I prefer it to the O.C but i still wouldn't watch it.

OTH is saved by eye candy, but its a dull show about dull characters with dull writing and dull camera work which makes it look cheap.

The O.C used to be a guilty pleasure now, it's just bad. And so is OTH. 3 pages and nobody talked about Smallville???

I thought about it but I stopped watching it long ago so I don't know if it is bad.

I thought about it too, but couldn't work up the energy to actually type the name. Apathy, thy name is Smallville.
There, now I typed it.

All this King of the Hill hate is undeserved. I own Seasons 1-4 and plan on buying season 5 this weekend. It's one of the best shows out there and if Mr. X hates it, it has to be good. But I will admit this one thing about it, it's quality isn't as good as it was during the first five seasons.
But the worst show out there has to be War at Home. The characters piss me off and I actually fell asleep watching it on sunday. I missed Family Guy because I fell asleep from the war at home.

I didn't say I hate it, I was doing that to El_Masked. But compared to the brighter years of The Simpsons and Family Guy, King of the Hill isn't anything special.

Mr. X wrote: Will & Grace. I know there's some fans of the show here, and I liked the show in the first two or three seasons, but the comedy is so obnoxious. The characters (mainly Karen) are so incredibly over-the-top, I find it hard to watch. And I don't know what they feed those studio audiences, but it seems every second joke gets HUGE laughter and applause. To be honest, it's mostly all recent "laugh-track" comedies that I can't stomach. Seinfeld and Friends were the last really good ones. It's refreshing to watch single-camera comedies that don't require a laugh track or studio audience to tell us when to laugh.
Booo...
Will & Grace has some issues, yeah, but the writing is still occasionally funny. There are a few laughs still.
If you've seen those CBS sitcoms, you can't honestly say THOSE are better than this. You just can't.

King of the Hill isn't really funny. At all. Its the least funny cartoon around.
But its not that bad. They've got good writing. The storylines are decent.

And btw Micheal, with the "trying to emulate OC" comment, OTH and OC started at the exact same time. I don't know what was first, but they're pretty much at their same points as of now.

The OC debuted one month before One Tree Hill. August and September 2003, respectively.

King of the Hill doesn't rely on haha jokes like Family Guy and the Simpsons do. It's a different kind of funny.
Don't you find it odd how defenders of KOTH kinda sound like defenders of AD. p.s. Arrested Development sucks hard.

I remember THE O.C. started out great for a few episodes, then got worse and worse until eventually sucking. The first two seasons of One Tree Hill were really good and enjoyable, even if they had their problems (Whitey is obnoxious, lame, and unfunny/Keith is lame and boring/it's pretty cheesy at times), but this season is pretty pathetic. Still, One Tree Hill is definitely better than THE O.C. overall. Neither of those can touch Veronica Mars though, not even close.
Will & Grace was fan-freakin'-tastic for awhile and so hilarious! Better than Friends! But it has definitely went downhill and is nowhere near the quality it once was, which is very unfortunate. Still, it has remained amusing anyway and at times pretty funny.

You'd have to be stupid to think that One Tree Hill isn't trying to cash in on the more successful counterpart. Its a dumb, emotionally shallow show - just like The O.C
The only good teenage show in the last few years i can recall was "Popular" with Sara Rue and Leslie Bibb and Leslie Grossman which was fucking hillarious,
It was better than Mean Girls in its portrayal and execution and to be honest it was ahead of its time.

The first season was good, although the second part was a bit over the top even though the show is invisioned as over the top. But the second season was absolutely disgusting. S2 barely had a few good episodes.
