Oh, that crazy cat Sylar.
Claire's mom is a pyro lady played by Jessalyn Gilsig! Nice.
Also, I don't know why everyone complains about Ali Larter's storyline/character all the time, when there are other storylines that need more extensive work. Greg Grunberg is a fine actor, but his useless mind reader storyline with his annoying wife is easily one of the least appealing things about Heroes right now.

Another great episode, the ending with Sylar was great.
36 heroes. Will have to make a list later... bet we can get most of them already.
I LOVE Invisible Man.
I'm still pretty dead set on Claire pulling a Sarah Conners, meaning the reason it's save the cheerleader, save the world is because her child will be the saviour or something... Whether the father is Peter or Zach is the question to me right now... I'm leaning towards Peter.

I was kind of shocked when they said she was 15.
I still think if they go with that storyline though, they won't actually get to the romance between the two part, rather they'll get a message from Hiro or something that tells them of their future. Or the show will skip years between seasons.

I like her character, and the development of her two personalities. I never had a problem with her. The only characters I'm not keen on are Suresh (although I think there is more to him that will come into the picture later), Isaac, and definitely Matt the Mind Reader. I didn't realize it till you said it, because I'm a fan of Greg Grunberg, but the character isn't as great as I would have hoped.
My favorite characters are Claire and Hiro. I find both Masi Oka and Hayden Panettiere pull off their roles very well. They're charming enough that I like them, and their storylines are interesting enough that I'm curious where things will go.

Just caught the last episode and it was alright. It wasn't as gravitating as the previous episodes but the ending was great. They always seem to have these super-cliffhanger endings to reel people in to the next episode.
I thought Claire's mom looked a bit like Gina from Nip/Tuck. Then again we didn't get a clear frontal view.

Caught up with the last two episodes. The 12th was good, the 13th pretty great. The show is simply amazing. Can't wait to see where the whole Sylar storyline will go.

Minor and speculative spoilers....
I heard a radio spot today that said, "last week you met CLaire's mommy but wait till you see who's her daddy."
So, I'm guessing it's someone we already know. The only one I can think of is maybe Peter's brother... the one running for that governor or senate.

I think it might be Sylar.

Err, is Syler... old enough to be her daddy? He doesn't look 35. More like low to mid 20s, I thought. Not to mention since I'm guessing Claire's adoptive dad knows who this guy is, he would've reacted differently to his captive Syler if he was Claire's father.
I think it's just going to be some awesome tough new character, with a neat ability... Possibly a relatively known name, joining the cast big time like that.

Did I miss something, or is Nathan Clarie's fahter?
That's kind of a downer.

Damn nice call Raffiki.
That revelation is kind of ... odd. I don't know, it's just Nathan neither looks or acts anything like Claire, there's 0 parental resemblance. I guess that puts an end to my theory.
Syler is awesome. As is Mr. Invisible and the revelation that Claire's dad used to be involved with him.
Not sure how I feel about Peter apparently in the future being able to do pretty much all the powers. The mimic thing is fine, but being that ultimate is a bit... much. Hopefully there's some kind of restrictions that make the other heroes at least unique and valuable on their own.
I didn't hate Niki this episode, though really my biggest problem is she's not a hero... she's a schitzo with superhuman strength. Next week's preview seems to point to the fact that she is a villain though, so maybe she'll pick it up.

Niki's character won't last the season ... or at least won't be in season 2. I'll gaurentee that much.
The Nathan being Claire's father was obvious.
Peter and Claire and now the Invisible Man all carry this show. Their respective characters are just fucking awesome.
The show would be great without them, but is downright amazing with them.

WOW I can't believe I doubted myself. Libs and Christian... you made me doubt myself. Shame on you!
I read the comments and I was like... you know Sylar does make a lot of sense to be the father. I mean what else would keep him from killing Claire. And I was like, ok it probably IS Sylar and I probably just made another stupid assumption.
Well, I proved that wrong!
Ok, now that I'm done being a 10 year old...
It was a pretty good episode. I think aside from Homecoming and maybe the fall finale, no episode of Heroes really stands out to me. Every episode I'm kinda like "alright" it's great because it's moving the storyline along but even for me (being a fan of serialized shows) it may be a bit too serialized.
Anyway... I keep going off topic.
I'm liking Claire's story even more. I hope this whole family thing goes somewhere interesting. (and yay for Zach )
Peter is kinda getting on my nerves. The new invisible guy is alright... at least he gives Peter a storyline to work with and now we know he's connected with HRG as well.
Hiro's storyline was absolute filler. Nothing has changed. Nikki's whole prison thing was also complete filler. Nothing has changed really in her storyline. She's progressed the absolute least. Hopefully next week she'll have some bigger role to play (as the preview suggests).
So is it just me (and my best friend) or is everyone starting to really like Sylar?
I have a feeling the finale is gonna involve some big reveal about Linderman or something related to Linderman. They keep mentioning his name but we have no idea what or who he is and what he does exactly.

Hahahaha I knew your Peter and Claire getting married storyline idea was funky.
But yeah, very very good episode, I like that Peter's storyline seems to be finally picking up. I'm guessing the finale is going to really involve him flying, maybe with the first camera angles from the early episodes.
Although I really liked everything with Claire, what did it really change? And while I like the Invisible Man, I'm not quite as in love with him as some of you guys seem to be. Now that we're moving forward he's written to be a crowd pleaser sure, but his whole introduction to Peter and just going along with his "dream" thing... I'm not such a big fan of that. Though if he has ties to Mr. Bennett it would explain some of that I suppose... That and yet another hole: This huge cage to watch Sylar, and they don't notice that he wakes up, kills someone, traps her father in there (yet doesn't kill him... Why?) and it takes hours for them to get him out? I call bullshit.
Still, all things said and done it was one of my favorite episodes. I really want to see more of Claire's mother.

The advertisements for this show are horrible. If I didn't give it a shot I wouldn't be watching the show right now and would be openly mocking it. Especially after the ads for yesterday's episode. (now that you meant mommy, wait till you meet daddy) in a menacing voice that makes it sound not only creepy (like a boyfriend telling his girlfriend to call him "daddy") but also incredibly dumb.
Oh, anyway, good episode.

I've only just started watching the latest episode, but had to chime in with this little tidbit after noticing something in the credits.
The director of this last episode was Jeannot Szwarc... aka, director of Jaws 2, Santa Claus: The Movie, and, perhaps most aptly, Supergirl. If that pedigree's anything to go by, then this episode of Heroes should be the best episode of television ever.

Nathan is Claire's pappy! Wow.
I'm going to assume that puts to rest any potential Claire/Peter romance in the future, considering he's kind of...her uncle.

Weird, not a single reply so far. It was not one of my favorite episodes, other then something FINALLY happening with Mohinder's character it seemed like the story really didn't move forward. Matt and Niki/Jessica was interesting but it felt like it could have been handled better, ESPECIALLY the damn ending. Of all the stupid, stupid decisions out there, why would you steal those diamonds after hearing one of the lead cops be obviously suspicious about the possibility of you stealing them? Stupid stupid stupid move. The Hiro storyline was similarly infuriating for many of the same reasons.
