It's being helped by the Olympics coverage. I probably wasn't the only guy who normally might not watch GA but watched it because I didn't want to see figure skating.

Well, um... did you usually watch what was on NBC on Sundays at 10pm?

Oh ya and as for the episode... I liked it
There is alot of chemistry among the cast. I agree! That is a real plus when you have less than amazing writing but the writing has been pretty amazing thus far too!
I think Addison might be my favorite character for the moment. I totally agree with the statement saying how they love that they didn't turn her into the bitch.
That scene in the elevator was on its way to be cliche but turned to be really good. You can REALLY tell that McDreamy doesn't love her but that she does and that McSteamy loves her but she is reluctant to step into that boat.
I really hope her and McSteamy don't end up together, at least soon. End of the season may be the earliest I'd be willing to make peace with because I don't believe she truly loves him as much as she does McDreamy. And what proves this... we found out now that they still stayed together after Derick left. But, then she left McSteamy to try and work things out with Derick.
And that last scene.... I have so many mixed feelings about it because I know there would be a huge divide between people who liked the direction and those who hated it (almost the instant after it finished). Put me in the camp that loved it!!!
George will get hurt and Meredith will never love him like he does, but damn was that an awesome scene. Among the best the show has had. And I think everything that will happen is pretty real, or at least more real than most of the show, and quite justifiable.
And on a technical note.... If the lion-face guy was dead, how could his face heal after they restructured it. Isn't that just a plain impossible? It would, first off take months to fukly heal and he would have to be alive

LOL Raffi, you know the technical details of medicine is not the strongest suit of the show.

Looks like I am one of the few people who think that was a one shot thing between George and Meridith.
I would be shocked if they even ever kissed again or at least for awhile.

question - as I have never seen this asked.
What is your list on who you find most attractive on the show >
think this could vary for personal tastes > Izzy, young blond model type, Merideith, pretty girl next door type but does her emotional state make her more or less attractive, Addision, more classic pretty lady, Christina, depends on your taste and how does her attitude go into the picture.
************************************
so how does your list go > here there are in ABC order.
Addison
Bailey
Christina
Izzy
Merideith
> note I forget the name of the other nurse who was with George
and add anyone else that you can think.

You shouldn't have had SEX if you didn't want awkwardness, fools.
Also, Addison? Ouch, that's not fun so much.

Oh, my.
I love the utterly baffled tone of voice Cristina screeched "You had sex with GEORGE?!" in, hahah.
Poor Addison. Oh, and Bailey, I guess, for randomly lactating.

GREAT EPISODE.
I loved how they finally showed exactly what happened. That was a nice touch towards the end.
I think the episode was brilliant until the last 15 seconds. I am SO SICK of Meredith and McDreamy. I thought when Derrick and Addison started laughing, they'd actually develop that more and perhaps make their relationship get back on track for at least the rest of this season until the finale. The constant tug of war is just so boring!!!!
Izzy and her ex-boyfriend was a great little speed-bump. I forgot why they broke up in the first place... did he leave her?
Could he be the father of her child? (But that was quite a long time ago she had the baby)
George moving in withChristina and Burke was priceless
And no one mentioned that GEORGE WAS NARRATING!
I liked it, if anything only because it was such a breath of fresh air. I'm not among those who hate Meredith's voice-over but it was refreshing to have this point of view instead. I mean, hearing Meredith talk would have been less exciting and pretty dull.

What ex-boyfriend? Denny? He was a patient from a few episodes ago that met her and thought she was pretty and started to flirt with her. They never knew each other from before that.

Oh my bad. I had him totally confused with her ex boyfriend from season 1. Now it makes much more sense!

I saw this episode. It was decent but I didn't get the poison oak thing. Why is that pay back in any way? Who cares if she got poison oak, I don't see how that has anything to do with Dempsey. Obviously I missed something that explains it.
One thing that stood out for me was the composition of the final shots with Pompeo and Dempsey outside was very well done, better than most movies, if you have it recorded, replay it and see what I mean, I'm talking about the very end.
I'm still not a fan of the show though. They spend too much energy glorifying the "Mcdreamy"/Dempsey character, with two women wanting him, plus he's this ace doc and mr charming etc. It tilts the show too much to being about him at the expense of the dignity of the Meredith character. IMO they need to give him some trouble and flaws and have her become more independent and strong willed.

I usually feel that they have great last minute endings to their show. I like the quiet talks between the primary characters.

Addison thought she was being "punished" for the posion oak because she cheated on McDreamy the year before.

Yes, the whole episode I was thinking "Earl has ruined karma. It just doesn't work anywhere else."

This wasn't my favorite episode, but I don't think it was too tidy. Though McDreamy's speech was rather eh.
