Or better yet, Black Adder!

I haven't watched any yet. Netflix was kind enough to send it to me, but I haven't been home since.

I don't really have a problem with Lost not being there.
But I have a problem with Lost not being there while The West Wing *is*.

How the fuck do they ignore Laurie? How is that even possible? Kiefer better win that one, then.
These are terrible...

I was surprised Jaime Pressly but not Jenna Fischer. And was surprised at no Rainn Wilson. It seems they still view The Office as a one man show, not the ensemble it is.
That's going to be awkward for Cusick on the Lost set, don't you think? The only one who got nominated and he's not even a regular.
Strange that Laurie didn't get a nom. But then when you see some of the nominees like Will and Grace and West Wing you realize that as Libs said the Emmys keep acting like it's several years ago.

I'm still confused as to how they can consider Carell the only lead.

In the second season of Lost, I bet there are more shots of Desmond in those 4 or 5 episodes than there are of Claire in the entire season

Here's my big prediction: only one of the two shows ending this year will win big. Either Will & Grace or The West Wing. The Emmys are not dumb enough to reward both with big wins. My funny money is on Will & Grace getting Debra Messing, Sean Hayes and Megan Mullally their Emmy wins. Arrested Development will win one last Emmy for Comedy. The West Wing will probably walk off with Alison Janney's win, but that's it. Which leaves the race wide open for 24.
... or. The West Wing wins big, and I kill the world.

The difference is Jaime Pressley is very funny as the trailer trash ex wife on the show while Jenna Fischer's character isnt written with alot of comedy elements in mind

If The West Wing can win for its 4th season, I don't see why it can't win for this one which was better. I wouldn't be surprised if it did win. Though I'd prefer 24, GA or House.

They aren't dumb enough? Have you even seen the winners over the last 20 years?

I like Tony Shalub. I have no problem with that.
Though I'll admit I havent watched the last 2 seasons of Monk. (not because they're bad, but because... I haven't.)

Look at these shows that are cancelled or have just ended racking up major noms:
Arrested Development
Six Feet Under
The Comeback
Huff
Will and Grace
Malcolm in the Middle
Commander in Chief
Out of Practice
that's a lot! Is there more that I'm missing?

I don't really have a problem with Tony Shalhoub's nom. I mean, yes, Bateman and Braff should probably be there before him, but I have a much bigger problem with Sheen and James.

Huff got canceled, eh? That's surprising since it's touted as Showtime's biggest show, isn't it?

So was Dead Like Me. Showtime doesn't really seem to care about such things.

Do these genius emmy voters know that just because a show ended they are not required to nominate it for everything. Will & Grace and the West Wing, yet again!
Also, two and a half men is one of the most painfully unfunny shows on tv, how is that even here?
I don't hate Kevin James or anything, but what the fuck? The show has been on for 8 years, it was never nominated for anything, and now they decide to nominate Kevin James.
There are far more screwy noms than good ones, but here are a couple that i like:
Lisa Kudrow for "The Comeback" (2005)
Will Arnett for "Arrested Development" (2003)
Jeremy Piven for "Entourage" (2004)
Elizabeth Perkins for "Weeds" (2005)
and then all the noms for AD and The Office. That's it. I swear, if i ever won an emmy i would seriously need to have some speech about how the emmys are ridiculous and an absolute waste of everyone's time.

Oh yes, I forgot about their fantasy show about a bunch of lesbians who are all very attractive.

I'm still happy for Masters of Horror getting nominated for the two things it did right: dramatic underscore and theme music.

So many noms for GREY'S ANATOMY and 24 are great, but COME ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No GILMORE GIRLS AGAIN???????!!!!!!!! That's bullshit! Yet freakin' MALCOLM IN THE MIDDLE gets nominated! I am glad that DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES and LOST didn't hog the nominations like usual, though Alfre Woodard did not deserve a nomination. She wasn't that great and her whole storyline on DH sucked. Kristen Bell and Lauren Graham should have gotten nominations! And Ellen Pompeo, Katherine Heigl, and Kate Walsh deserved nominations for GREY'S ANATOMY! For the most part these noms suck! I'm also surprised Jason Bateman didn't get nominated for ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT.
Ugh, while there are a few surprises, overall these are very disappointing. The Emmy people blow!
