It's a campaign by the people at MI.net. http://marsinvestigations.net/campaigns ... dintro.php
It was inspired by Rob Thomas putting a $4000 shower into his office, and saying that he wouldn't do that if he thought he wouldn't be in that office for a long time.

I liked last night's episode, duh. I don't think I've ever disliked an episode. I'll probably be watching it again because my parents didn't get to watch it and I recorded it.

Good episode. Better than 2.13. But, I wasn't a big fan of 2.13.
Unfortunately, I just saw the ratings, and they're not pretty. They aren't nearly as bad as they were for 2.11-2.13, but they're still below the season 2 average. But there was American Idol to contend with, so I guess it's not too horrible.

i really really really love how the story is piecing its way together for the end of the season.
it looks to be an exciting finish.
they also did a REALLY nice recap of the entire show to bring people up to speed,
it's too bad i know it probably didn't get any more viewers than normall. : (

They usually only long recaps like that before something really huge happens, but nothing too huge did happen. At least not more than last week. So I think (this is just me speculating) the reason they did it was because they went over budget on this episode, and probably had to nix some scenes (I know there was some stuff cut out of the Tinseltown Diaries), and ended up with too short an epi, so they did extra long previouslies.
It was a really good episode. One of the better ones this season. I think I would put it at #5.
I can't wait for next week. Maeby was in the promo!

The promo was very vague, but according to the UPN description:
[spoil]Troy is accused of date rape and asks Veronica for help. Since it all seems to take place on a college campus, I guess he's in college? Though I thought he dropped out of school, so who knows. But Maeby and George Michael are both in it, though Rob Thomas said they refused to play any roll that would be at all like their Arrested Development rolls, so I guess no making out. [/spoil]

Veronica Mars moves back to Tuesdays at 9
Ok, so this means no more competition with Lost or American Idol, but screwing around with scheduling mid season is never a good sign.

Quote: LOS ANGELES -- UPN is sending "Veronica Mars" back to her old home for its final episodes this season, which may be both good and bad news for the series.
Starting April 11, "Veronica" will air at 9 p.m. ET Tuesdays -- the same timeslot it held last season. Repeats are scheduled to air on Wednesdays for at least two weeks following the change; plans for after that "will be announced shortly," the network says. The show will remain in its current Wednesday home until then. I'm getting really nervous now. I'm starting to sweat when I think about VM's future. It's not going to produce better numbers without Top Model, but nothing will, really. So... I hope this ends up showing better results. Quote: With the move, "Veronica Mars" will lose its strong lead-in, "America's Next Top Model," which helped boost the critically loved high-school noir's ratings in the fall. "Veronica's" ratings have suffered in recent airings, however, partly due to the absence of "Top Model" and partly due to the return of "American Idol." For the season, it's averaging about 2.4 million viewers per week, just about even with its numbers this time last year. Not bad. I think the numbers last year were pretty bad, and it still got a second shot. Why not one more shot on CW? Quote: Moving the show to Tuesdays does get it out of "Idol's" path, as well as that of ABC's "Lost" and CBS' "Criminal Minds." It will, however, have to go up against FOX's "House" and CBS' emerging hit "The Unit." I don't think the VM audience is watching "The Unit" or "House", even if I'm watching "House". I think the core audience will tune in. Quote: What the change means for "Veronica's" chances to make the jump to The CW next season remains to be seen. UPN President Dawn Ostroff, who will run the new network, is a fan of the show. Still, its marginal ratings make a pickup for The CW, which will feature programs from both UPN and The WB, less than certain.
Good news that Ostroff is a fan of the show. At the very least, Dawn Ostroff will give the show a shot on CW, I hope.

I've heard speculation that this may be testing the waters for Tuesday at 9 next season, which is very good, but I don't know how true that is. I'm just not sure why they're waiting until April 11th to make the switch. I mean, currently they're showing repeats on Tuesday, and after the switch they're going to show repeats on Wednesday. Is something happening April 11th that would make that be a better date to switch on?

I think they're probably giving VM an extra few weeks on Wednesday to see if the news gets any better. Perhaps they'll promote the move to Wednesday, since they've already done so much to the show in terms of time slots this season

Well, Ausiello claims that the move is to test out the spot for next season.
Quote: CW execs aren't waiting until the UPN-WB marriage becomes official to test out a Gilmore Girls/Veronica Mars pairing. UPN announced yesterday that beginning April 11, Mars will move to Tuesdays at 9 pm  immediately following Gilmore Girls on WB. No one is officially dubbing this a test  after all, the shows are still on two different networks  but as one industry insider tells me, "It looks as though they're attempting to build a Gilmore/VM night before the merger happens." Sounds like a good idea to me.
Source (Careful, may contain spoilers for other shows.)

I really hope this helps it out. I doubt it will do any worse in this spot than it's doing now. At least it won't be up against ratings monsters AI and LOST.

Well... that's a good idea and all... but I hope they don't put much thought into it. It's not like they're promoting "Watch Gilmore Girls on WB, then Veronica Mars on UPN!". I highly, highly, highly doubt that VM will do better because it's going to air after Gilmore Girls... on a different network!
Either way, I'm happy that at this stage, VM isn't being treated as dead in the water. I hope they try out some new stuff next season, especially with returning shows.

Yeah, it doesn't make much sense to me to call it testing an hour of Gilmore Girls/Veronica Mars. Testing Veronica Mars on Tuesday at 9, ok, but this isn't pairing it with Gilmore Girls.

Not to make a good news story into a crap one, but VM will be going up against the equally dominant House and The Unit. My point earlier, though, still remains. I think in the case of VM, it's probably more likely to have similiar audiences to AI and Lost than with House and The Unit, so I don't think this will hurt it anyway.
Let's all hope for some solid numbers here on out.
VM ON CW! VM ON CW! Chant with me!

Not to mention Bones, which I know a lot of people were upset about switching to Wednesday, because then they had 3 shows to watch at the same time.
