How can that possibly be the only choices? Two of them are shit and the other can't happen due to the "holy shit" moment that was promised. THERE HAS TO BE ONE MORE DAMNIT!

Well it also suggests that there could be a mystery ending to them. I think 1 would work if they had some cliffhanger ending to it. That is my biggest problem with that one is it ends anti-climatic. 3 would be cool, I think, 2 would be insane and I am not sure if I would watch next season if Nina had a twin and is logan's daughter.

So I went to the 24 Insider and #2 has been debunked ("bad fiction") so the choices are now only #1 and #3.

Hmm... seems like #1 is the more mature ending, but nothing really "OMGZZZ CRAZY SURPRISING, BRING ON TEH SEASON & DRASTIC CHANGEZZZ" that #3 promises.

Can it be both? lol

Like say everything on #1 happens, then the rumored super secret ending will be #3, after the events of number 1 are done.

Has 2 been debunked? Or just really been criticized by the fans because it seems so out there. Now I doubt they will go that way, but who knows.

The spoiler guy has taken out #2 in the choices. He said it was bogus.

Please let it be 3. It just screams reboot.

And let's not forget that Logan is technically still on house arrest. :hahaha:

I realize #1 is the most plausible but really, when is 24 about what's plausible.

#1 is ho-hum, no fire, no reboot theory. It's very melodramatic and middle of the road. Not the type of ending that gets people talking until Jan.

Not unless there is some shocker at the end of that first scenerio, maybe something happens as Jack is staring down at that cliff. I mean the ending right there seems off.

Well, it's the biggest surprise shocker ending anyone could have expected. There wasn't one.

They promise next season will be the best ever? How can this be? It hasn't been written yet, and there's no video footage available. Marketing, marketing, marketing... Ugh.

I didn't read these three endings, so while one of them was right, I'm ridiculously disappointed.

Fuck you Howard Gordon and Joel Surnow... there I've said it.

Considering the finale was written by Manny Coto, David Fury, and... Robert Cochran? I definitely expected more. It was solid, mature, and fitting but something was sorely lacking.

Well not necessarly. I just expected some kind of shocking ending and that is why I was disapointed. If there wasn't going to be a shocking ending they shouldn't have built up that idea in the press. The producers and writers quoted there would be huge shocks and the ending was out of the box. Of course the fans are pissed off. The Tony part well I think he has his fans and Tony is my second favorite character and I would love to see him come back somehow, but it isn't the end of the world if he doesn't return.

It's definitely disappointing that the writers built up the fans like that. Jack leaving behind the love of his life isn't exactly out-of-the-box, so I don't know what the hell happened there.

Anyway, I hope that, besides a clean slate next season, there are fewer characters on the show. If anyone needs evidence of too many characters on 24 this season, just look at Kiefer. There were a ton of episodes this season where Jack seemed like a supporting character.

I think last night was the first time this season Jack spoke with Karen Hayes.

A heck of a lot of regular characters this season never interacted with the rest.

Yeah too many subplots going on which I think was the problem. I also think at some point the writers changed the ending. I think they were going to bring a dead character back (who knows who it would have been) but it got leaked on the internet and they reworte the script. If you notice on a couple of 24 spoiler sites it mentioned how there was a massive rewrite not long after the TBD spoiler got leaked.

That sucks. Even I came across the "back from the dead" spoiler, and it was in the back of my head while watching. I had no idea it was all but confirmed.

It took some seriously huge balls to write an ending like that, though. Especially after all the hype.

Yeah it was in Tv guide. And I took it to be true because they have been dead on about Lost and Heroes hints. I think it is dumb to rewrite something like that if it is because it got leaked. I guess the person who was suppose to be TBD could have backed out because they could film the scenes.
