Box, I love you! I love every one of you. Right now, including mine o'course, I have 15 ballots. I believe last year I got 9. Great job, guys. I hope to have a bit more participation for voting, since it's far easier to pick one person or show out of six nominees than it is to choose the six nominees.

For Your Consideration

Excellence in a Single Episode, Drama

Warning: The following contains explicit spoilers to the second season of Nip/Tuck. Do not read if you want to but have not yet viewed the episodes in consideration.

Nip/Tuck, "Agatha Ripp": This episode is the final meltdown of Julia's secret. She tells Sean that Matt is not his biological son, but rather Christian's. Sean goes on an anger rampage. This happens all in the midst of a woman who supposedly has the stigmata which Sean and Christian are buffled to explain by science.

Nip/Tuck, "Rose and Raven Rosenberg": Sean and Christian are having problems working together after Sean finds out that Christian is MAtt's biological father. In one of Nip/Tuck's finest hours, the writers managed to write one of the best surgeries they have, separating conjoined-at-the-head twins Rose and Raven Rosenberg while also incorporating one fo the raciest scenes in television history: a threesome among Sean, Christian, and a hooker who "will be Julia tonight."

Nip/Tuck, "Julia McNamara": Julia will be going under surgery after slamming right into a glass patio door. While under the anesthetic, she dreams of her alternate life (as Ava shows her), one married with Christian, rich and a plastic surgeon. Chance encounters with Sean in this alternate life also reveal he's a more modest doctor and married to Megan O'Hara, who was an integral character in Season 1. As her life hangs in the line, Julia must come face to face with her decisions.

Nip/Tuck, "Sean McNamara": The carver, the infamous masked rapist of Season 2 strikes at Sean's home, drugging him and cutting his cheek. As Sean is getting ready for surgery, Christian finds out that Gina (whom he dated and had a child with, even though it ended up not being his biological child) is infected with the HIV virus and has AIDS. He gets tested and must call every woman he had slept with after Gina to let them know he may be carrying the virus. the episode ends with one of the most touching scenes of the series as Christian visits Gina in the hospital to comfort her lonely soul.

Nip/Tuck, "Joan Rivers": The season finale of Nip/Tuck finds guest actress Joan Rivers urging the doctors to reverse all her plastic surgery so she could look like a real "grandma" for her grandchildren. A big secret is revealed when christian finds out Ava is a trans-sexual and in search of her original records, guest star Alec Baldwin comes into play as Ava's husband. The incredible final scene sees some peace and understanding among Sean, Julia, Christian, and their children. At night, as Sean waits with a gun for return visit from the Carver, we see Christian snug in bed with the Carver ready to drug him. Then SLASH. what a cliff-hanger.

Nip/Tuck is a unique, strong, boldly written and brilliantly acted drama on FX that continues to push the envelope in regards to its integrally racy and graphic sex and surgery scenes. It's some of the greatest drama ever delivered to television and sincerely hope you would consider these finely written episodes when nominating under the drama writing category. Thank you!

For your lastminute Consideration

ALIAS

After four years as ABC's consistent pedigree, and amoungst its storm of faddy superhits, "Alias" emerges the true catalyst for ABC'S new reputation of pristine quality scripted dramas. A twisty, turny conflict of emotions, characters, interests and fashion senses; its the spy show that brings jaw dropping cliffhangers to the screen with a silly wig.

And its bloody great.

Consider it for BEST DRAMA

CLICK HERE TO SEE A CLIP

EXCELLENCE IN A LEAD ROLE, ACTRESS IN DRAMA
Jennifer Garner sticks with the TV show that made her a superstar despite becoming one of Hollywoods top 10 leading actresses. Beautiful, talented and charismatic - Garner's an emotional spectrum that is fully visable onscreen where she captures every moment with her full on dedication to her role as Sydney Bristow. And she looks really hot as a Salsa dancer.

Also consider it for

Excellence in a Supporting Role, Actor in a Drama
Victor Garber,
Ron Rifkin

Excellence in a Supporting Role, Actress in a Drama

Mia Maestro

Excellence in a Single Episode, Drama
Tuesday
Sydney Bristow finds herself in the seemingly unescapible situation. Thrown into peril from a group of deviants that had seemed relatively harmless, Bristow finds herself in a coffin next to a dead man who she had reconed with earlier that night. Left to die burried alive. With a cellphone Sydney calls for help - but a toxic bomb has exploded in APO, and her ally Dixon's life is at threat from the chemicals released into the office as the secret underground sector goes into lockdown.

Tech geek Marshall, struggling with juggling his secret job and his family, finds himself the only one who can save Sydney from a grisly death, and must pull of some unsavoury heroics on the way..
Featured acting unrivaled by any other television show - this particular episode stripped away much of the glamour and fun that makes Alias an exciting delight, and instead leaned on dramatic clout and A grade talent to pull it through - the results were more than just amazing.

Excellence in a Guest Star, Drama or Comedy
Gina Torres as Anna Espinosa
----
One of Alias' best villans, Anna Espinosa was one of Sydneys earliest adverseries, and intruigingly seems to be her equal. She breaks our heriones cool composure every time with her devious conduct and untrustworthy alliances.
-----
------
Lena Olin as Irina Derevko
---
One of the most popular characters in any television show. Sydneys dangerous mother returns for a special superbow in season 4.

Excellence in an Opening Sequence
Alias' new look is complete with JJ Abrams reddux of the classic techno track thats accompanied the show's trademark logo for its first three years. Not only that, but to keep up with the fast paced new sound and to get us head over heels for the show before it even starts, he kicks the titles in quarterway through an episode after a significant plot point and it features over 60 different shots of Syndey Bristow in various Alias guises over the past few years.

Excellence in a Special Episode, Series or Season Finale
Season 4: Episode 22 - "Before the Flood"
An episode thats already become a Legend amoungst alias fans and i havent even seen it yet. But with knowledge of what roughly transpires its safe enough to say

No problem. I'll probably start counting ballots on Friday or so, just in the case that anyone else wishes to send one in. 17 (yours included) is a really nice number, for something in a forum where fewer people visit. I'm really glad, guys, and I appreciate this help. Here's hoping we're all here to do it again next year!

Is LOST like Desperate Housewives where everyone is Lead.

You have Jack, Locke, Sawyer, Fat Guy, Satiee ( sp?) etc.

Locke is supporting. As is Sawyer, Sayid, etc.

Jack and Kate are the only real leads, though I'm sure one could argue Kate for supporting.

Not having watched all of the shows - it is clear Kate is the main woman.

but looking at the shows casting, they are listed as an emseble cast.

so I am just asking

haven't Jack and LOcke both been the main leads during this year.

To me they seem equal

so does everyone agree Locke is supporting?

Valley Guy 3.0, I love you! 18 ballots now, if Michael also sends his. Hey... anyone else want to send one? I'd be nice to crack 20, but I'll be ecstatic with 18.

As for me, If i couldnt think of enough, i listed the ones I knew, and left the rest blank..sorry if you got mad at that X.

Yes, like the ones where people have to name specific episodes, that is unlikely except for a few of the most die-hard fans of certain series.

And next time consider including one for best writing, as TV is very dialogue dependent.

Gahhh! Well, see, the first three years weren't very big. Last year was the biggest of the three years, and I didn't even ask for any help for categories and such. This was the first year, and it was tough to incorporate everyone's ideas. In case you didn't notice... you all have a lot of differing opinions. So, I'll definitely get this pre-awards deal going early next year, so we discuss everything needed to be discussed.

Heh you didn't do anything wrong. And I should have made these comments in the early stages of this.

For me, I still disagree with this and X agreed at the time.

If people are having trouble with the easier pick your favorite episode, which I still like better, they would have had alot more trouble breaking it down for best writing & also directing.

Hopefully the favorite drama & comedy episodes will stay next year.

In response to last minute ads, I didn't give any noms to Jack & Bobby or Nip/Tuck, never seen those shows, sorry... I can't nominate something I've never seen, so I hope you don't mind [-o<

As far as it goes for Alias, that's one of my most favorite shows. I've only seen first three seasons, we're a little behind, but I was exstatic with third season, and not many people liked it, and I hear fourth is better by most of fans, so I don't doubt I'll like it even more.
I nominated Alias in categories: Excellence in a Dramatic Series; Excellence in a Lead Role, Actress in a Drama (Jennifer Garner); Excellence in a Supporting Role, Actor in a Drama (Micheal Vartan); Excellence in a Single Episode, Drama (Mirage, Before the Flood); Excellence in a Special Episode, Series or Season Finale (Before the Flood)

Just put down lost and it's actors/actresses in everything. Hell it's made by the same producer as Alias, close enough.

If you go through the first 2-3 pages, there are several "For Your Consideration" ads. Some are blatantly in big type (by yours truly) and some you'll have to look for, but there's more than enough for the main categories if you're stuck.
