This show only works because of the nostalgia.

I'm not sure that word means what you think it means.

Just watched "The Suicide" and "The Fix-Up". Great episodes. Love Jerry's smugness. :funny:

"I knew it, you are not a man"
"Then what are all those suits and ties doing in my closet?"

Congrats Algren, I think you hit the spot where the series never misses again. Starting with The Boyfriend.

That's the next one. Awesome. It seems to be split into two: "The Boyfriend" and "The New Friend".

Bit too long for me but "The Boyfriend" was pretty great. When Jerry says "And you wanted to be my latex guy" when George is laying on the ground with his trousers around is ankles. :funny: :funny:

That's one of my favourite scenes in all of the series. Never gets old!

The JFK scenes and the jealous Jerry are pretty cool too.

"The Limo" was a nice surprise. Not hugely funny, but nice to see them outside of the flat. Looking forward to Larry David's next one, "The Letter", and then the penultimate episode of season three, "The Parking Space", is bound to be great if Curb's parking space on-going annoyance is anything to go by.

I'm onto "The Good Samaritan" now. George says "Tell her about the shoving...". :funny:

Helen Slater was so hot back then.

Tasty for sure, as was Melinda McGraw.

The Limo is a bit of a classic. The girl who plays the "hot nazi" actually appears again in later seasons as a completely different character. Look out for her.

My laptop fucked me over and I think I have lost all of my files, including the Seinfeld episodes (though that's the least of my problems). Might be a while before I resume this.

That sucks Algren, sorry to hear that. If you were closer, I'd send you the Seinfeld DVDs as a consolation.

Wait, is she the actress who plays Audrey?

Somehow I never made that connection before.

Yes!

I never made the connection until about a year ago and countless viewings. A few other actors have also played more than one role on the show.

Some ive picked but most i only realised after reading the below...

I always thought it was a nice in joke how Vicki Lewis came back during the Seinfeld reunion season of Curb, but not as herself. Larry asking her how her daughter's pussy is doing and Jerry's reaction was one of the funniest things ever.

That's a great commercial.

What happened to that burger?

Somewhere around the middle it doesn't make sense how they flip the side onto the other one...why flip the lettuce/tomato side? It's way to messy and loose, it makes more sense to flip the burger side.

I believe it was a response to Wendy's resurgence in the mid to late 80s, but the packaging was expensive, and lets face it stupid looking. I don't think MCD even does Tomatoe outside of a few chicken sandwiches and their lettuce is shredded now so it really didn't matter.

Yeah, tomatoes are only put on specials now, it seems. Whereas Burger King has tomatoes on most of their burgers. Yum yum.

I have resumed watching Seinfeld. They're all on Netflix!

I finished season 3, and I've just watched "The Trip Part 1". It's a great show. You can really feel Larry David through the script. Also, I've noticed that I can relate more to the opinions and predicaments in Seinfeld than in Friends, even though I've always preferred Friends. Maybe I'm changing. I guess the male point of view is more represented in Seinfeld than in Friends. I'm not a huge fan of Kramer, though. I like it more when the the focus isn't on him.

What I like most is spotting the cameos and supporting cast. In "The Trip Part 2" (which is excellent, btw) the guy that plays Tango's cellmate in Tango & Cash is the Smog Strangler. I'm also pretty sure that the chambermaid Lupe is Larry's maid in Curb that he takes to the club for dinner. And, of course, Larry makes a brief appearance when Kramer opens the door to find the police and loads of other people staring at him.

"The Pitch / The Ticket" seem to be combined as one episode. It's a clever idea but I didn't think it was a great episode.
