NBC has renewed This Is Us for seasons two *and* three, 18 episodes apiece.

To be expected, but nice to have it confirmed.

I kind of like it when a TV show that I love gets cancelled. I prefer it over them making more and it getting shit, and then me being disappointed. It keeps it up high on a plinth of perfection.

"The Good Place" has been renewed for a second season - it will be 13 episodes again as per Kristen Bell and Ted Danson's deals.

"Mozart In The Jungle" has been renewed for season 4 and "Red Oaks" was renewed for a third and final season.

Great but not really a surprise about The Good Place.

I'm glad. But I have a feeling that even if it wasn't renewed it would be picked up by Hulu, Netflix or some other streaming show. It's definitely a binge type of a show.

So excited to see where they go with Season 2 of The Good Place.

ABC has renewed Grey's Anatomy (season 14), Scandal (season 7) and How to Get Away With Murder (season 4).

NBC renews Superstore for a 22-episode third season.

Superstore is a lot of fun. It's not the funniest show on TV but they've done a nice job with creating the strongest ensemble of oddballs since The Office.

I know the American people are hotly clamoring for it, but I am starting to suspect we might never see another season of Crisis in Six Scenes.

Pretty sure it was just supposed to be a miniseries. It tanked for Amazon though and Woody hated doing it so doubt he'll return to TV again.

I know, I know, I was joking.

It's criminal that Mom is in any list that includes Superior Donuts, Man With a Plan and especially Kevin Can Wait.

Cinemax canceled The Knick.

Which is sad because it is one of my all-time favorite television series, but it is not very surprising. The two seasons play extremely well as a standalone story. I knew deep down it was over after the second season's finale despite a few of the people involved hinting at another chapter, scripts in the planning stage, etc.

Cinemax in general indicated they are retreating from original prestige programming to again focus on action-oriented international co-productions in the vein of Strike Back.

I wonder if they will ever formally cancel the incredible, absurdly undervalued Quarry. I know a second season is not going to materialize, unfortunately.

AMC and Channel 4 renewed their science-fiction co-production Humans for a third season.

I am glad because I enjoy the series quite a bit. But I definitely believe it was Channel 4 pushing for the renewal. AMC seemed to almost reluctantly air the second season, even combining episodes to burn through it faster. The lengthier-than-usual wait between seasons did not help, perhaps.
