Ouch for Quantum of Solace. Casino Royale sold 2.3m copies its first week.

And I'd argue that even Casino Royale did rather disappointing numbers on DVD...

Even if it's really solid, I still expected a bit more from Marley & Me. But looking at the sales for other movies I guess I can't complain. It did better than most.

MILK increased a bit for some reason, so that's nice.

Um, isn't that kinda pathetic for Slumdog Millionaire?

Great for TAKEN and UNDERWORLD.

Decent debuts for PASSENGERS, S DARKO (considering it didn't even make the top 50 rentals), and GRUDGE 3.

Wow, Taken sold more copies in a few days than QoS did in 8 weeks.

Slumdog's doing pretty badly. I thought it would be good for at least 5m+.

Taken's first week beating the first 8 weeks of QoS is so weird.

No one realizes it's been available for, for what, over a year and a half now?

Is over 500,000 copies sold decent for True Blood? I mean since it's on HBO which has a limited audience and the fact that True Blood cost twice as much as regular DVD's.

Gran Torino is going to sell a lot. I had a ton of people buying it today at Wal-Mart.

Gran Torino sells almost as much copies as Paul Blart has sold after 4 weeks. Quite impressive! 2.6 million in the first week.

Pretty amazing for Gran Torino. Should sell over 6 million copies in the long run.

And True Blood will probably end up as the best-selling TV series on DVD since Lost: Season 2 (which I think sold around 1.8 million).

It's more impressive it sold as much as Benjamin Button in 6 weeks IMO.

Dang! Didn't even notice that. The length really hurt Button in the long run I guess. Gran Torino deserves it though. In my top 50 easily.

Anyone know why The Holiday came out of nowhere and made the charts this week?

That usually happens when movies are on sale. Which is why Role Models and In The Name of the King also made an appearance.

After a massive debut, Gran Torino had an absolutely fantastic hold.

Underwhelming for Friday The 13th, especially considering horror movies usually make most of their money in sales.

Friday the 13th's sales rather sucked. Gran Torino's hold is amazing-ish.
