Btw, Ran's gone out of print and the Blu-Ray's been cancelled, so pick your copy now if you still don't have it.

The Naked Prey is very good and quite unusual. Cornel Wilde's the man.

I want the Korda set, but it will probably be a while before I get around to buying it.

My friend beat me to the punch and grabbed The Last Metro on Tuesday, so I'll probably retaliate with a purchase of Danton (which Jeff Wells totally sold me on).

Apparently it's Guillermo del Toro's Cronos. Which I've never seen, but it's del Toro.

I wonder if DeepDiscount is going to have a sale similar to the one they had around this time last year?

I think so, junio. My understanding is it's an annual thing.

I saw White Dog. Funny, horrifying, uncomplicated, over in 90 minutes. I love Sam Fuller.

Is Ran still available on most sites for order? I've blown my wad of DVD cash this month.

And in the most exciting news ever
Quote:
2 OR 3 THINGS I KNOW ABOUT HER

In 2 or 3 Things I Know About Her (2 ou 3 choses que je sais d’elle) Jean-Luc Godard beckons us ever closer, literally whispering in our ears as narrator. About what? Money, sex, fashion, the city, love, language, war: in a word, everything. Considered by many to be among the legendary French filmmaker’s finest achievements, the film takes as its ostensible subject the daily life of Juliette Janson (Marina Vlady), a housewife from the Paris suburbs who prostitutes herself for extra money. Yet this is only a template for Godard to spin off into provocative philosophical tangents and gorgeous images. 2 or 3 Things I Know About Her is perhaps Godard’s most revelatory look at consumer culture, shot in ravishing widescreen color by Raoul Coutard.

SPECIAL EDITION FEATURES:
- New, restored high-definition digital transfer
- Archival television interviews: the first featuring Vlady on the set of the film, the second with Godard engaged in debate with a government official on the subject of prostitution
- New video interview with Godard friend Antoine Bourseiller
- A visual essay cataloguing the multiple references in the film
- New and improved English subtitle translation
- PLUS: A new essay by Sasha Frere-Jones

someone posted it on criterion forums, but I don't know where they found it. It makes complete sense though...the missing spine number, the Rio Alto releases, that they were made together/basically need to be seen together.

And even if they were releasing only one of the two, it wouldn't make sense for it to have been Made, since apparently Godardites go gaga for 2 or 3 things.

Anyways, for when you get to Made, I'd recommend these. Very helpful. And screencaps!

I think that's all of them.
