5/10 -> C-

The worst The Killers album. After great Hot Fuss they release a pretty lame followup. I never liked it and never managed to get into it, and I tried so many times. I keep thinking I'm missing something, but Sam's Town just doesn't seem to have that something what Hot Fuss and Day & Age seem to have.

Grade A+

Another Killers classic! Yes its different to Hot Fuss but its a great departure for on album. While no one song is as good or classic as ATTTIHD or Brightside, all the songs are strong (bar one Uncle Johnny) here.

Probably an improvement on their previous album.

B+

I was shocked to re-read your first post but then saw this. I guess like all good music, it often grows on you.

It's weird though. It has become far and away my favorite The Killers album (and one of my favorite albums). I definitely underrated it back then. Just goes to show that some albums need time to sink in. Others are instant and others you like at first but grow tired fast.

It's the ones that stay that matter the most! :yes:

That is great! Sometimes it takes time to appreciate things more. :thumbsup:

Sam's Town is probably joint favourite with Hot Fuss for me but i also like the other two albums.

The Killers (well Brandon and Ronnie anyway) did a football grand final pre-show here over the weekend and then a post game show that was open to the public for free. Was upset that i didn't get to go but at least its re-ignited my love for their music.
