Desperate Housewives, Season 6

The sixth season of Desperate Housewives, a television series created by Marc Cherry, began airing on September 27, 2009 and concluded on May 16, 2010. The deceased Mary Alice Young continues to narrate the events in the lives of her friends and Wisteria Lane residents, Susan Delfino, Lynette Scavo, Bree Hodge, Gabrielle Solis and Katherine Mayfair. Angie Bolen and her family are the focus of this season's mystery.

The sixth season of Desperate Housewives began in the Republic of Ireland on Tuesday, January 5, 2010 at 9.55pm. The sixth season began at 10.00pm on January 27, 2010 on Channel 4 in the United Kingdom and began on the Seven Network in Australia on February 1, 2010. It started airing at 9:00 PM on February 1, 2010 on OSN's Show Series in the Middle East. It also started airing in India on Star World from February 26, 2010 at 10 pm.

The series saw its lowest ratings in the sixth season. In the first 12 episodes, the series attracted very similar viewership to the second half of the fifth season. But after the thirtheenth episode of season six, "How About a Friendly Shrink?", the ratings declined heavily because of the competition of the 67th Golden Globe Awards. The series continued to hit series low, also because of the competition like the 2010 Grammy Awards, 2010 Winter Olympics, and the new CBS reality series Undercover Boss, which first aired after the Super Bowl XLIV, pulling impressive ratings. "Desperate Housewives" lost a lot of stream in the second half of its season, picking up some again in the final three episodes. Nonetheless, the show managed to get a spot in the fifteen most watched series in the 2009-2010 television season, at number thirteen, averaging 14.0 million viewers, about 1.5 million down from the fifth season. It was also the seventh most watched scripted show.

Post Re: Desperate Housewives, Season 6
How can a season be so bad and awesome at the same time?.

I can divide this season in 3 parts

Episodes 1-10.-One fo the best of the series, they actually developed the mistery so well, and in episode 10, they gave us one amazing episode, the disaster episode of the season, and for one, we didn't get the disaster until the final minutes, giving us a huge cliffhanger.

Episodes 11-16.- Boring as fuck, and they gave us possibly the worst episode in the entire series, episode number 11.

Episodes 17-23.- How awesome is that two new characters (Eddie and Sam) completly turned this season and it began to be awesome again, every episode developed the three (yes Marc Cherry finally decided to give us more than one mistery per season) misteries, all the way to an explosive an amazing season finale.

It was good that nearly every Housewive was in a mistery (Except Susan, but no one cares about her) but this season belonged to Gabby, not only she was the one to be part of the main mistery, but Eva Longoria gave us amazing performance after amazing performance (srsly, give her a fucking emmy this season, please.).

And we also dealt with the departure of Katherine, she went crazy for Mike, got sent a mental institution, returned to the street, became a lesbian and went to Paris.

In the finale we got two cliffhangers, the first, baby switch! and teh second, Paul Young is back, so you can tell jesus that the bitch is back.

and i saved the best for last....

SUSAN LEFT WISTERIA LANE, well she's going to be living in fairview anyways but i hope this means less screen time for her, because nobody cares about her.

So I'd say this is the best season since the first, but those episode in the middle dont allow me to say that.

Anyways, this gets an A-

It was a pretty good season. It really picked up near the end with the focus on Eddie - that was a phenomenal storyline. Not the show's worst, but not its best either. B

I think it's the second best season of the shows run (after the first)
