I'm not trying to stir anything up here, just in case we do have a tea party population I don' know about. Even though I disagree with most of the crazy shit they talk about, it has been very impressive to see them organize to the point where they actually have influence over America. Counter that with the Occupy movement, which was much more noble, but accomplished nothing. So those of us outside the Tea Party have heard their grievances against the president many times, but also I'd wager that most of us think they only have one real issue. And that issue will go away by the end of next year no matter what the TP does (unless there's another charismatic black politician who has not revealed himself to the world/is still living in Kenya with his Muslim father). What will stoke their anger then? Obama's legacy? A woman president? Even if she is white? So I'm predicting that even if the Pubs take the White House in 2016, the party will lose its enthusiasm, leading to the Dems taking back the Senate in 2018 and possibly even the house of reps in 2020, when the crucial district map drawers are brought in, if they push hard enough against an unpopular Republican president. |

Just some generic thoughts... A tea party candidate will not win the Presidency, thank god. I do think they would still be around with a white, female president, but it would lead to their ultimate demise. |

Of course they won't win the presidency, but they have put several people into congress. I'm wondering if those spots will become vulnerable once Obama is out of office. |

Welp they did win the Presidency. From nothing to the white house in nine years. Pretty impressive honestly. Id be playing "Started from the bottom now we up" at every rally. |
