Obama didnt do well so far.....
what do you think?
When Health Care goes down so nearly everything he tried to do wasnt sucessful.
Well he has 3 more years. And when he doesnt start a war he is still better than Bush Junior....even when he fucks up everything else.
Discuss. Is Obama still the new Messiahs?

Re: Obama didnt do well so far.....
Well, I think he has started a war. One that will be fought be future generations of Americans.
And I thought the President was supposed to make thingd better so why does everything seem worse today.
So really, 3 more years. Heaven help us all.

Re: Obama didnt do well so far.....
lol. The amount of media coverage of EVERY one of his actions is ridiculous. It's been one year, and the economy is progressing... slowly. I think he's been very solid so far.

Re: Obama didnt do well so far.....
Not sure how great but at what cost anyway. Isn't it almost like he is using a charge card from people in the future with all of these added costs and benefits and stimulus $. And hope he tries to solve social security and the credit card mess next year after doing health care and housing this year.

It's a process. And the future generation is the one who voted for him. I don't know why old people are annoyed with him. You're going to die soon.

Re: Obama didnt do well so far.....
Boy some must have lots of excess $ as they aren't concorned about the increased taxes that they will be paying in the future.
Maybe we can go back to what is was like in the 1970s when people paid more than 50% of their income to taxes.

We're doing fine. True. But with all of that money, does the government run fine or still have problems. Cause with all of the causes that the american government believes it should fund, 100% of peoples taxes wouldn't solve americas problems with all of its excess spending.

Now we can be more like everyone else in the Western world, or are at least on the track for it.

Re: Obama didnt do well so far.....
For the better?
Well we have about 30 million for starters and then how many to add after companies decide that it is better to dump insurance and pay the fines than keep people on insurance. Bet the number will be over 100 million in 5 years. And with no pre-condition cut outs allowed, that is going to add a lot of $ unless it is capped.
Anyway, none that obama has done this in his 1st yearn let see what happens with his next 3 years. Especially the budget and social security for starters.

No, the biggest expansion of civil rights since the 1960's! Theodore Roosevelt and Richard Nixon wanted it! 26 year olds will be able to stay on their parents health care! Cindy in Alabama will not have died for want of health care! Better airports in northern Michigan http://www.house.gov/apps/list/speech/mi01_stupak/morenews/20100319faagrant.html

Re: Obama didnt do well so far.....
Blows my mind how the government continues to INCREASE spending. When will they realize you can only continue high spending + low income for so long before it ends VERY BADLY. For a country or person. They are ignoring the nature of debt
Medicare/Medicaid alone was already the biggest hit on the budget, more than defense with two wars going on. Add this and they'll be spending a RIDICULOUS amount on healthcare that isn't even socialized... the healthcare budget is single handidly putting baby in a corner. Before this most socialized healthcare countries spend 8-10% of the GDP on healthcare while the US was at like 16-18%. That's right... the US govt. was already spending 2x as much of their budget on healthcare as all the universal healthcare ones. And they just added more.
