There is a conservative/liberal divide but that is being overshadowed by the anger at the government and the parties. |

Criminal justice, police violence, gun control, water crises, income inequality, but mostly, the economy. But that is not the point. The cores of liberals and conservatives may have hardened, but they only account for 40%(?) of the population. The majority wants an un-politician-like politician who talks straight to them about the failed government. |

Liberals would never vote for Trump. In most polls I have seen, Trump is only getting 43% of the vote. Many conservatives won't vote for him and would either vote for a third party candidate or not vote. And then you have the minority vote which makes up over 40% of the vote now, they will vote overwhelmingly against Trump. |

The core of liberals would not vote for Trump. But I doubt this group of people accounts for more than 25% of the population. |

Trump can't win. He would require White vote levels that exceed Historic highs for Bush 2004 and Reagan. Which is not happening. However things can change, I have doubts that Bernie after facing criticism is going to be polling with such positive numbers. Bernie is still a big unknown to most people and I have big doubts that General Public will like to see Bernie as President. I am not saying he cannot win, but I have doubts. |

Bernie has problems with the African-American vote which is why South Carolina and the southern primaries will go Hillary's way. I still think Hillary will win the nomination. |

Trump has all but killed his chance for the minority vote which is ironically the biggest voting demographic and why the GOP could not win in 2012. Now if this was the midterm voting demographics, then Trump might win, but as it is, pushing further right is what is killing the GOP, and old guard Republicans, such as Bob Dole, know this to be true. |

I agree -- Bernie may win Iowa and New Hampshire but after that the odds are against him. On the other hand, a win in the first two states will help him be seen as a legitimate candidate and he'll do better in the other states than predicted. I don't think it will be enough, though. (It worked for Obama, but he has a much better personality and looks more Presidential than Bernie does.) |

I believe that whichever Dem wins, it will only be a single term presidency, mainly due to age. |

I wouldn't say that per say. I think Hilary would be okay. She would be the same age Reagan was when he was relected. With her, it will depend on what the political situation is with the country. |

People bring up the anti-Trump votes as the reason for a Democratic win. But I would argue the anti-Hillary and anti-socialist votes are as big. |

Ehhh... There is a large portion of the Rep sector that won't vote Trump. Much larger than the Dem sector that won't vote Hillary. Also, there are more Dems. |

Yeah I agree, I have heard a lot of Republicans who have said they won't vote for Trump. He will also lose the minority vote big time probably 75-25. He might need to get 65% of the white vote to win which isn't happening. |
