I hope everyone is doing ok. California has been told to stay in their homes unless getting anything essential or working so I'm working from home now.

Doing good! Working from home. Just real worried about people who can't. And all the people whose businesses are going to go under.

Working from home. Go out maybe once a day, but keep my distance. Haven't really seen anyone going against the regulations for the most part. Lots of places are still hiring though. I know amazon in particular isn't even really requiring resumes anymore, but are offering a lot of new shifts at $17 an hour. Luckily I already shot a lot of stuff, so I was planning on editing at home during this time anyway.

Someone from sanitation told me yesterday was the highest amount of non eaten food thrown away. Granted just for my area in Jersey, but I'm sure it's not the only place.

Garbage. Work at a grocery store and am only able to see my roommate for the most part. I’m seeing my parents tomorrow before they decide they don’t wanna see me.

And now my roommate is leaving. I don’t know what I’m going to do. Maybe try to get a group of people who work with me to quarantine together.

Things are alright here so I am good. I work as a Senior Manager so we are in BCP mode where the entire team under me has been divided in Team A and Team B which alternate WFH. With the increasing number of cases government has recommended to stay at home, the panic phase has passed here (we had one back in 1st week of February when SG moved to DORSCON ORANGE) so getting groceries is still not an issue. People are being careful and social distancing is not at all an issue here because the country is basically running by expats.

This is going to sound super selfish and insensitive but I feel like, if this had to happen, this couldn't have happened in a better time in my life because I have no dependents, I make good money and can work from home, and I'm young and healthy. So I guess i'm in a good position to weather this. In fact I may even make money considering my costs have plummeted (no more transportation, eating out, going out with friends, travel, etc.). If this lasts a year like they're saying, I could come out with over $20k in savings.

At the same time, I'm a bit of a nervous wreck and worried sick about my parents.

The downside of that is IF you get sick you won't have anyone to take care of you and help you recover once you come out of hospital.

How am I supposed to replace my work pants if I can’t go to a clothing store?

Target is increasing their hourly pay and offering bonuses to new employees. They aren't closing. They are part of the "essential"

Yea I wouldn’t mind at all to catch a non coronavirus cold so I can chill for 2 weeks and binge stuff and play some N64 games or something. I usually run a bulk department but they just shut it down so I wouldn’t feel stressed about someone else filling my bins.

Some friends are letting me move in with them. I really wanted to avoid seeing no one for months, but I could've done okay by myself if I really had to.

I think my cat is in his last days, can't walk and has no appetite, not sure if vets are open in California though. I kinda want to put him down since it seems like he's in pain but I guess I'll wait a week to see if he gets better. What a shitty time.

We just had to deal with a terminally ill cat. It's never easy. Fortunately for us, it happened just before complete lock down.

I'm having all my office calls forwarded to my home and dealing with clients by email but I go to the office (all by myself) to check the mail and send out any letters that have to go out. Then I'm back home, playing computer games while working on my next book.

My wife is a stay-at-home artist so it isn't affecting her as badly, but she's also vulnerable given her health situation so she's being very cautious -- makes me jump in the shower and use lots of soap as soon as I get home.

We'll get through this. Previous generations got through wars.

Good the hear that you are taking precautions just try not to travel too much and maintain social distance when outside

I finally went out yesterday evening for a walk after 13 days of self-quarantine (I had mild cold and wasn't COVID-19). My family has been going on outside for walks in the evening while maintaining social distancing (which is punishable to $10,000 SGD here now).

I had to put my cat down last Monday, he was in real bad shape. I'm ok now but was a total wreck for a couple of days. Had that cat for half of my life, loved him.

Going outside for weekly grocery trips is very weird just in the sense of being cautious and not trying to touch my face. It looks it's gonna be at least another month of this so yeah, not gonna go outside except for groceries.

Sorry to hear about your cats guys. Especially hard under these circumstances.
