 Re: WoKJ Needs A New Owner For the record, the fix this time was as simple as me logging in, going to the crashed table, clicking repair, and waiting for it to finish. A 2 minute fix I wasn't able to get to for hours (maybe days, I'm not sure when it started), which is the main reason I just don't feel comfortable being the owner anymore! If it was something more serious, I have no idea when I would have gotten to it.

Re: WoKJ Needs A New Owner Very rarely, most things are minor. Biggest burden is changing servers, as that requires hours of work. Typically the server is on auto-pilot. I think it'd be about once every other year on average.

Would Dr. Lecter/bl1222/EZ/Gamaur/loyalfromlondon, whoever's going to be in the new ownership group already gain login access and be able to repair tables and reboot servers even before the official transition? I hope the new owner(s) will be able to fix downtime issues as quickly with enough technical expertise as you do.

I have also started some active discussion on the future of the forum (my main goal is for as little to change as possible, at least for the transition period) and as soon as we have a solid plan, I will present it.

Re: WoKJ Needs A New Owner I've been too busy to even deal with transitioning, someone asked me about purchasing the site (no discussions have taken place, I don't know who this person is), we'll see where it all goes. If there's ever any information to report, I will, there's just nothing of real note going on at this point.
