Is Dancing with the Stars on air every day or what?

Added year in title. And please whoever does the thread in future, keep the same format in title.

They just had a special three-night premiere. It'll go back to Monday/Tuesday next week.

Pretty horrible for Gossip Girl. The fast national household rating is 1.8/3. Last week it was 2.4/4.

Really good starts for both Private Practice and Bionic Woman. Let's see how they hold up next week.

Dirty Sexy Money did decently. Life...OK, I guess.

Not terribly promising holds from last week for Kid Nation and Back to You.

Gossip Girl looks like the big loser of the season so far.

Which makes me so happy, because fucking Marc Berman had predicted it to be the breakout new show.

Had a feeling Bionic Woman would do well.

It and Private Practice will likely drop in the coming weeks. How much depends on the quality, I think. I haven't watched PP yet. How was BW?

Ouch for Back to You and Gossip Girl. I thought Fox and CW had two surefire hits in their lineups with those two this year.

Well, BW rose a bit at the half hour, while PP fell a bit. If one of them is going to do great and the other horrible, my bet is BW succeeds.

On its own, that's pretty good for Private Practice. But I thought it might get a bigger audience from Grey's. I guess not. Doesn't really bode well to start off with numbers that I thought it would end up pulling by week three or four.

Very good for Bionic Woman. NBC might have another decent hit.

Criminal Minds and CSI:NY look okay right now, but that's down a bit from last season. Maybe the crime drama is finally dying down.

Too bad for Back to You and Gossip Girl. Back to You is about as funny as a sitcom can be these days. It's no Frasier, but I'm going to keep watching. And I just plain like Gossip Girl. It's a fun guilty pleasure.

Most of my friends who are huge Grey's fans didn't watch Private Practice. Some didn't know about it, some didn't care, etc. Considering that, I think it did pretty well last night. Obviously, it will need to be judged in the upcoming weeks, but if it can maintain 11-12 million viewers per week, I would say it's a success.

What's wrong with me? I'm actually liking Back to You. :(

Dancing is gone next week so let's see how all these shows fare.

Seems like CBS' almighty procedurals have been as well (so do their other shows). Please let another network (ABC?) be number one this year!

Nice work ABC!

I wonder how well DSM will hold up in the following weeks. Everyone I know who watched it liked it. Does anyone know if it grew in the second half? I doubt it since it has PP lead-in. But if it maintains 11m+ viewers a week, I think that would be a great success for ABC.

I really wonder how Pushing Daisies is going to perform next week. Could abc have another successful night on their hands?

Pretty expected for CBS

My mom is a HUGE Grey's fan. She hasn't liked a show this much since Melrose Place. And even she didn't really care much about watching Private Practice. I'm probably going to watch the rest of it today, but I caught the first ten minutes and it looked okay. Nothing great, nothing god-awful.

Join the club. It's really not a bad show at all. And some of my issues with the pilot were kinda fixed in episode 2.

In the show's defense, I read some of the opening credits and some of the writers (including the two creators) are former writers from "Frasier".

^ It does have a good pedigree (James Burrows is one of the directors!). If they keep the show focused on newsroom banter (like last night's), it should keep up. Fred Willard and Ty Burrell are too hilarious.

And yet Berman still declares CM a winner simply because it increased from its lead-in. How long did it take for Lost to get back in the winners column despite having crappy lead-ins while being down? Ugh.

Boy, the one hit premiere NBC gets, and the show's a piece of junk that'll lose viewers barring a miracle

No breaks

I liked Bionic Woman. Sure the writing isn't great but neither is the writing on Heroes and people still watch that junk.

Pretty good ratings for Bionic Chick(think its just 1.0 below Heroes ratings) although the show pretty boring so I cant see it holding onto it much longer

NBC should move Bionic Woman to the post-Heroes slot. They should have scheduled it that way in the first place because they're compatible.

I like to add the ratings is more impressive for Bionic Woman than Private Practice given that it didnt have Dirty Dancing Stars for its lead in or was it the other way around and wasnt a spin off of a successful show

It'll be interesting to see if Bionic Woman drops next week, and if so by how much? Same goes for Life. No Dancing of the Stars next week might be a huge benefit to both, despite the fact that both aren't generating the best word of mouth (Especially BW).

I've always felt they should have done that as well.

With all the marketing Bionic Woman had, it BETTER have had those kind of ratings. NBC marketed the hell out of it.

I'll be sad if Pushing Daisies doesn't succeed next week. Truly sad.
