Post Music - Songs
Hey,

Well, since we have about 900GB of extra bandwidth, I can offer a few extra things to you guys.

If anyone wants to make a post in say the music forum ... about say a new song Hitch. You can if you want also send me the song to kjtocool@gmail.com and I will go ahead and upload it to the server. Point me to the post you want the song added to and I will go ahead and edit once uploaded.

Just an offer.

To send music from a CD.

First you need to copy the files from the CD to your hard drive, and make sure they are in MP3 format.

Then you attach them to an emial. Some email services won't allow large attachment sizes in which case I recomend you get GMAIL, I can send you an invite if you need one.

Just open my computer, find the CD, highlight whatever tracks you want. Right click. Copy. Then go somewhere on your hard drive (C:?) and paste them. That should be all you need to do, but check and see what file type they are.

Don't you have to have some sort of ripping software to encode it into MP3? I don't know much about this, so I could be wrong.

I copied them over like you said and they appear to be winamp files. How do I convert them to mp3s now?

Well, if they're playing with Winamp then they are probably already MP3s, I think. To check, right click on the file, click properties, and if it says "MPEG Layer 3 Audio" next to File Type, you should be good to go.
