HD is high quality TV.
Sorry. It's not my fault. no, hd-dvd was high quality DVD, Blu-ray is a completely separate high definition video format. Correct. So many instances like this where Chippy makes a fool of himself for not knowing anything, yet he still speaks up as though he is all-knowing.

Chippy is wrong but so was Terminator too.
Both HD-DVD and Blu Ray were separate high definition video formats.

It's all in the name, Price. HD-DVD and Blu-Ray are separate to each other, sure. But HD-DVD is still a DVD, where Blu-Ray is not. That's what Terminator1997 was saying, and he is right.

Re: Suggestion Box - No Suggestion Is Too Small
Try playing an HD-DVD in a DVD player. You can't. DVD just stands for digital video disc or digital versatile disc. So basically, you could say Blu-DVD as a description and you wouldn't be wrong either. And both high definition formats differed from plain DVD by the laser used to read the data, that allowed a higher storage capacity. HD-DVD was red and Blu-Ray was blue (doh), thus how it got the name. But HD DVD died many years ago, so it's not worth continuing this discussion, although we both do agree on Chippy always making a fool of himself.
