Love the first, looks like it’ll be fun. It’ll be interesting to see what they’ve come up with now that walking dead has become the standard

Re: Zombieland: Double Tap - Trailer #1
It is interesting that in the ten years since its release, when it became the highest grossing zombie movie ever (at the time), The Walking Dead made zombies a household thing and then just as quickly put a bullet in the head of the zombie craze. And like The Walking Dead, Zombieland is a zombie movie for people who probably couldn't handle legit zombie movies.
But that's perfectly fine because I love the first one and I'm excited they were able to get everyone back for the sequel. OK, so maybe Emma Stone is the only one lowering the bar for herself with this. I think they'll have to really push the star power again, particularly with Stone and Woody Harrelson, to get a good turnout. Not sure if nostalgia for the first one will be strong enough for big numbers.

It only needs $90 mil total to outgross the first (adjusted). I think that's actually doable. I'm hoping it can get at least a $30 mil opening.

I'm sensing a possible Anchorman 2 to Anchorman 1 type gross. Maybe $110+ million total. I hope the "we waited way too long for the sequel" train doesn't kill it though.

I think they waited too long for it to really breakout. Should still manage - $70-$80m or so which would be fine.

I appreciate that Emma Stone got on board being an oscar winner. I liked that opening noting that each was Academy Award nominee/winner. Looks to be fun and definite watch.

Yeah I'm there. Loved the first Zombieland and this one looks just as entertaining.
