This is a fun, if absurd program: http://iwl.me/

Enter a school paper, a short story, a blog post, etc., and it will tell you which notable writer's style your writing resembles.

It gave me David Foster Wallace (Infinite Jest) on first try, which is...extremely flattering, so I stopped while I was ahead. ;)

Um...I got him too. So either we write very similarly or they only have 1-2 names on there.

David Foster Wallace for me as well.

As a control, I tried the following:

Jane Austen: Jane Austen
Mary Shelley: Mary Shelley
Mark Twain: Mark Twain
Walt Whitman: H.P. Lovecraft (I used Leaves of Grass)
Lewis Carroll: Lewis Carroll
Charles Dickens: Stephen King! (I used A Christmas Carol)
Henry James: H.P. Lovecraft (I used The Turn of the Screw) Maybe it is the horror aspect?
Jack London: Jack London
Phillip K. Dick: Arthur Clarke (I used The Eyes Have It)
Kurt Vonnegut: Kurt Vonnegut
James Joyce: James Joyce

Translations (obvious problems here):
Leo Tolstoy: H.P. Lovecraft (I used War and Peace)
Dante: William Shakespeare (I used The Inferno)
Hermann Hesse: Dan Brown (remind me to never read this translation) (I used Siddhartha)

I picked ten different samples from my upcoming book (due in May) and got eight different responses.

William Gibson, J.K. Rowling, Cory Doctorow, Anne Rice, David Foster Wallace, Chuck Palahniuk, H.P. Lovecraft (twice) and Isaac Asimov (twice)

Either I have lots of different styles or I'm so unique I have my own style. Or this isn't a very accurate way to analyze literature.
