It's kind of odd that they are coming off two successful DOV films, and Mancini and Dourif are making a TV series for it now while this is coming out. I'm guessing Dourif was probably asked (After all Hamill is only 2 years younger) but remained loyal to Mancini. I'm interested to see if Hamill might just go into "Joker" mode which would be fun either way. I hope the film is a big enough hit to come back to theaters. I'm still interested in Mancini's proposed Child's Play on Elm Street with the possibility of Englund reprising the role. Overall I've always liked this franchise outside of the third film, which even still had its moments. How about a Chucky, Annabelle/ Toy Story crossover film. Now that's $$$ |

I'm not really a huge fan of this idea, rebooting a franchise that is still alive and kicking, and apparently not consulting any of the original players (Mancini, Dourif). I doubt they asked Dourif. But... Mark Hamill is probably the best choice they could make. I'm kind of surprised they didn't go for a bigger name that would just do an over-the-top bad voice for Chucky. Not saying Ryan Reynolds would do an over-the-top bad voiceover for Detective Pikachu, but something like that where they went with a name and voice we would all recognize over someone who is an established voice actor. |

Seems like a solid choice. He is both one of the most proven voice actors for a role like this while also being a name |

Yep I love the idea of Hamill voicing Chucky. I mean how can you not considering his talent when it comes to voice acting. I am way more excited for this than I was before. |

I should sue, that was in my first post. He sounds like he is just doing Brad Dourif. I guess it makes sense that they would do that. They still could return after the TV series. |
