It probably makes sense that if they are film-related, the RIP threads go in the Cinemania, and all others go in the Water Cooler.

Definitely a sad one. Too bad we never got more roles after 2003, although I wonder how long Alzheimer's played a factor in his life decisions.

Also, the IMDb article I read says he died earlier this month?

His early films weren't my cup of tea, but it's amazing how a guy with his streak of success in the 70's couldn't land a good role to save his life for 3 1/2 decades.

A family letter said he was dealing with Alheimer's for about 3 years now. So, idk.

I'm not sure how bad it got recently, but his interviews from 2013, he still seemed on the ball. So sad. Anyone ever see Star the Revolution Without me? He is hilarious in that. His style of comedy was one of a kind.

Everyone was going on about how heartbreaking his Nephew's letter was re: "Gene didn't want anyone to know about his condition because he didn't want to rob the world of their smiles" which sounds like he had a pretty inflated sense of his importance to the world.
