 RIP Gene Wilder http://variety.com/2016/film/news/gene- ... 201846745/Quote: Gene Wilder, who regularly stole the show in such comedic gems as “The Producers,” “Blazing Saddles,” “Young Frankenstein,” “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory” and “Stir Crazy,” died Monday at his home in Stamford, Conn. His nephew Jordan Walker-Pearlman said he died of complications from Alzheimer’s disease. He was 83.
He had been diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma in 1989

Re: RIP Gene Wilder His early films weren't my cup of tea, but it's amazing how a guy with his streak of success in the 70's couldn't land a good role to save his life for 3 1/2 decades.

Also, the IMDb article I read says he died earlier this month? I'm not sure how bad it got recently, but his interviews from 2013, he still seemed on the ball. So sad.
