Post subject:  What's next for Jennifer Lawrence?

While watching the Golden Globes last night, when Jennifer Lawrence won for Joy I was pleased, as I like Jennifer Lawrence. But then I realized that she already has three Golden Globes at the age of 25, and how much more interesting it would have been for Melissa, Amy or Lily to win. Jen's career has consisted of Hunger Games/X-Men blockbusters inter cut with David O. Russel movies. With two big franchises under her belt, and plenty of awards won with David, I feel her career is now uncertain. How many more Russell movies can she do before she becomes a parody of herself. Her performance in American Hustle felt very similar to the one from Silver Linings Playbook to me already. She has Passengers this year, but what's next? She has the photography movie with Spielberg (which is unlikely to get made anytime soon, IMO and the comedy with Amy Schumer in development. I think she should do more comedies and become that every woman rom com draw that we are missing in this day and age.

Plus, her phone comments afterward got a largely negative reception. Maybe it's time to step away from awards shows and awards fare for now, and be the relatable girl who refuses to conform to Hollywood norms we all once fell in love with.

Didn't you answer your own question. Four films lined up, probably a dress or perfume line. She has everyone wanting to work/ bang her. Has many films lining up, and hasn't even done a romantic comedy yet. She easily has the most momentum for endless possibilities since Julia, and Julia never even had awards power until later in her career.

It's her choice really.

Like all careers she'll have her fair share of lows as well.

She also has a Darren Aronofsky film with Javier Bardem coming up as well.

She already has. House at the End of the Street and Serena spring to mind. And depending on where you stand, The Hunger Games franchise is also a low (it is shit but also the last instalment disappointed). She also has a lot of negativity surrounding her in the last few months because of her newly-found arrogance.

I think she's filming her movie with Darren Aronofsky within the next few months. Possibly in the spring before she has to start press for X-Men.

My guess is that the comedy with Amy Schumer won't be ready until late 2017. Spielberg has to film Ready Player One before he can do It's What I Do with JLaw.

Regardless, I want her to take an extended break from David O. Russell. While I think she has been outstanding in all of his movies, I want her to use this time in career to explore working with other directors. Aronofsky is a great start.

She is essentially the female DiCaprio. The difference being that she's already won her Oscar, and can now take pleasure in mixing work with awesome directors and franchise fare.

Did you see him on the red carpet with her? He looked like a clingy boyfriend. I think as long as he calls with another movie, she'll do it, if only out of fear of angering him.

I gave up on David O. Russell after American Hustle. His storytelling was mostly monotonous. His film characters lacked dimensions and appeared only to serve the plot and the leads. His films were mostly star-driven such that star power gave them high-profile releases. I hope Jennifer Lawrence quits those awards baits and plays a non-lead part that is character-driven that might help her mature.

Yes. She certainly needs to.

I thought she was in that horror movie coming out in February, but then I saw the title is written with W and not B, so she must not be in it.
