Makes sense. LEGO did it. Women were not catered for a few years ago. Young girls are not catered for now. Hello Kitty seems like a great idea if they can start to build it up as having a "world" for fun to happen in. |

This could make a ton of money in Japan. Also, the Hello Kitty universe has a big cast of characters, this could be interesting to see how many they use. |

As a person who spent a lot of time in an elementary school over the last six months: this could also be huge in the U.S. if backpack and t-shirt sales translate into admissions. I am only aware of the iconography, not the actual "story" and characters. |

I'm actually shocked that this hasn't been made yet. This is arguably one of, if not the biggest brand in China, South Korea, Japan, Singapore, and a huge area of East Asia. Hello Kitty is potentially a significantly bigger global brand than even Lego. It has a big following in North America and other markets as well. You heard it hear first, this could do $500 m +. |
