Started reading then gave up. Seems interesting, though. But really, who cares that much? |

I read halfway then skimmed then read the last bit between Pascal and Rudin. He was like "it's over, it's done" and Pascal came back three different times with a we can do it line. That exchange was a bit embarassing. She's like, I'll call Universal. Why was she so desperate to get Jobs back anyway. I feel nervous for any major or minor company now. This is embarrassing and dangerous. You don't know what other types of communications passed through them yet. There could be more embarrassing things like that exchange or highly toxic things taboo things. Hopefully not, but this might lead to a business wide change in what email communications will be conducted through company workstations. |

Well, it was always ugly. Wonder why they keep targeting Sony though. Maybe it has its hands in so many pots, but still, perhaps it is some form of corporate sabotage. Otherwise, really, if it's simply a hacking group, they should have more goals than poor Sony. |

There is some lot talk if North Korea was involved at all, as they were said to be upset about the upcoming film, the Interview, about the attempted assisination of there leader? |

Read the full article. Fascinating stuff. Rudin is an asshole, but he is right about a lot of things he said. |

Beyond the obvious headline generators, such as Rudin's dig at Jolie as camp and a spoiled brat, there is a wealth of fascination here. I love the small details and concerns. Can they get Tom Cruise without him demanding Christopher McQuarrie rewrite Sorkin? Is Michael Fassbender a big enough star? Or the e-mail from the advertising executive where he is already contemplating when and how to release a three-hour, claustrophobic Steve Jobs film. |

Love this comment over at Hollywood Elsewhere: Quote: It's like reading "Battle of Brazil" in real time. There's a Charlie Kaufman version of “Jobs” that combines the juicy behind the scenes at Sony with the behind the scenes at Apple. At some point Steve Jobs (played alternatively by DiCaprio, Bale, Fassbender, Cruise, etc.) suddenly realizes he's in constantly changing movie of his life being micromanaged by emails sent via iPhones and iPads. |

Rudin sounds pretty reasonable to me. |

I didn't read the whole thing yet, but the one takeaway I have that's 100% true is that a Cleopatra remake would bomb. Badly. |

Anyone know of the North Korea allegations? Interesting Sony put a total media blackout on the movie, The Interview, including all stars. Maybe someone is very scared? And if this is NK then could the stars, Franco and Rogen, ever be in danger in the future? |

Love the stories that are being exposed. Such great gossip, and all true?! Do you think there will be problems from the stars who got ripped in these stories? I like the one about Kevin Hart, being payed 7 Million for 2 movies, and then his agent wanting more money for him to tweet out about the movie. And the executive basically saying Fuck Him. Lol. |

It's not North Korea otherwise the Interview would have leaked as well. |

BK wrote: It's not North Korea otherwise the Interview would have leaked as well. Supposedly one of the requests is that they don't want the movie released at all, so i don't think they would have released it themselves. What date is it supposed to be released, and I wonder if it gets delayed, or will Sony and all employees be an open target. Does anyone know what and his much the hackers got from Sony? |

Pascal is down on Cameron Crowe's upcoming film: Quote: On November 13, 2014, Pascal wrote a lengthy, Jerry Maguire-esque email manifesto on the state of SPE’s motion picture group and sent it to most of her senior staff. In the memo, she seems very down on Cameron Crowe’s as-yet-untitled Hawaii-set film coming out next year, starring Bradley Cooper, Emma Stone, and Bill Murray. “Cameron never really changed anything… People don’t like people in movies who flirt with married people or married people who flirt… I’m never starting a movie again when the script is ridiculous and we all know it… Scott [Rudin] didn’t once go to the set or help us in the editing room or fix the script,” read the email. |

Frankly, this leak and its consequences is much more interesting and entertaining than 95% of the movies released this year. |

Either Robert Newman's letter is patronizing, or DiCaprio is really a shallow person. |

I wonder if this ongoing leak will produce any insight into Salt 2's failure to launch and any related hurt feelings on Sony's part. |
