Sure, Affleck has made all bad actors want to direct now. Doesn't mean they will all be Oscar winners.

Doesn't mean they won't be ;)

It kinda does, though.

Affleck is pretty much the only one to do it. It's very rare.

Look, the dude wants to direct, good for him. I'm all for people trying to follow their passion. Of course he could take the "easy" way and just have Marvel pay him $50 million (or so) for another six-films contract, but he didn't.

I agree with Algren. Evans is still young and should probably milk the Avengers/CA series and when he is older, he should do the directing thingy. Those actors turned directors waited till they careers died down or that they did it in their late 30s/ early 40s

By the time The Avengers is done, Chris Evans will be 38.

For a male actor, that's very young.

Given what we know so far, it will definitely be a set up for Thor: Ragnarok, which supposedly follows directly after Avengers: Age of Ultron and will play a crucial role in Phase Three.

maybe. though it doesn't come till summer 2017 so setting it up so early doesn't really mean much given they could use CA3 or GOTG to set it up as well.

The Avengers set up Thanos 6-7 years before he will actually fight The Avengers, so there is that.

For all we know, it could simultaneously set up several films, as Thor 3 supposedly plays a central role in Phase Three anyway.

Ant-Man has me wondering, though. It feel seem so "low-key", coming off Captain America 2, Guardians of the Galaxy and The Avengers 2.

Feige also mentioned that Thor 3 is set immediately after the events of Avengers: Age of Ultron and not after the events of Civil War/GOTG2/Doctor Strange.

Maybe. This is kind of a futile discussion. It is fairly obvious they are not bringing in Heimdall and Loki to set up Ant-Man. They might set up others as well, but they will certainly set up Thor 3. Probably not the post-credits scene, yes, because those are usually shot at the last minute and kept extremely secret anyway.

Daniel Brühl was cast in Captain America: Civil War in an unspecified role, though it is heavily rumopred that he will play a villain. Supposedly it will be a smaller role, though, setting him up as the main villain in Doctor Strange. Great casting, IMO.

Yes great to see Bruhl in this. Keen to see what they do with his character and if he'll be German or not in it.

That is shit. It's basically just his character from Game of Thrones and any other film or TV he's been in. He looks no different. lol

I guess they're going for a realistic/dark version of this Aquaman:

But I still hate it. I was hoping they would keep the vibrant colours as they did with Captain America and Iron Man. Also, in the comics, Aquaman has short blonde hair. Ah well. I'm not too fussed because I don't care for superhero films, and he might even turn out to be an awesome addition, but I do like to complain whenever possible. ;)

I like Momoa but that looks terrible. Marvel has nothing to fear from the DCCU.

Shit, I forgot that Aquaman is DC.

So I'm not worried at all. He still looks ridiculous, but Zack Snyder kicks too much ass, and will make it awesome.
