Black Panther 2 officially subtitled Wakanda Forever

Captain Marvel 2 is officially called The Marvels.

Wakanda forever makes sense but The Marvels sound so corny.

"The Marvels" is the subtle way Marvel/Disney show they don't have enough faith in Bree's Captain Marvel.

You mean the biggest female starring movie of all time? That faith. I think it goes more in line of Larson wanting to “avenger” female centric franchise she was talking about with the other characters like Monica, and the other ones

Russo brothers are in negotiations with Disney over "Secret Wars" a cross-over mega assemble film (X-Men + Avengers). Negotiations are at an impasse over compensation.

Feige said "with phase 4 coming to an end, we are set to unveil a roadmap of phase 5" ... but what does that even mean? Obviously we had built-up Avengers movies to transition us between the other phases, yet it doesn't seem like anything in phase 4 is very connected. More like "these are our new heroes, tell us which ones you like and which ones you don't."

Do they rush to Secret Wars for the May 2024 release or do something smaller/more fitting like Young Avengers with Kang as the big bad? Or will Fantastic Four just be the big blowout with everyone popping up to help them take out Kang?

People are calling the casting of Sabra in Captain America 4 pro Israel propaganda lol

It literally is though. But Marvel has been military propaganda for 14 years now.

Adam Driver auditioned for both Reed Richards and Doom. Feel like Doom would be to similiar to Kylo Ren. If Krasinski isn't playing Mr. fantastic though ... That's an interesting choice. He'd fit in well with Cumberbatch and Hemsworth.

Adam as Reed….is the more interesting one for Adam to get. Hopefully it happens

Adam Driver has limited range as an actor, so I hope he gets the one where most of the movie he wears a mask.

James Gunn is the new head of DC studios.
Thats a good pick imo, probably the best one WB could make.

Quote:
Gunn will focus on the creative side of things, while Safran will focus on the business and production side. Both are expected to continue to direct and produce projects, respectively. They will report directly to Zaslav and work closely with Warners film bosses De Luca and Pamela Abdy. Sources say the deal runs four years and Gunn will be exclusive to DC. The goal is for them not just to be producers, but to truly function as executives even as Gunn will occasionally hone a movie.

Unlike Marvel Studios, DC has multiple films set in separate creative universes, and according to sources, Joker filmmaker Todd Phillips’ work on the upcoming sequel, which goes into production later this year, will not fall under Gunn and Safran’s purview and instead will be overseen by De Luca and Abdy. Matt Reeves, who worked under Hamada, has a budding universe based on his The Batman movie. It is unclear under whose purview Reeves’ future projects would fall, but everything else moving forward would be under Gunn and Safran’s.

The bar is so low for DC these days so anything is better than how it's being run now. Will be interesting to see if more MCU folks shift to DC.

This is a big positive for the DCU.

Also, while they'll need to overhaul - all isn't lost as there are a number of positives at present:

- Cavill back for MoS2
- BA doing well at the BO
- Shazam and Aquaman next on the release schedule
- The Batman being a success

They just need to get WW back on track and sort out The Flash mess and can springboard from there.

The Flash - June
Blue Beetle - August
Aquaman 2 - December

I don't think trying to be like Marvel would be the right choice, that tone is already beaten into the ground.
