Lol. Even though there's virtually zero chance of it happening (Tatum said he has no idea what the current status is recently, which doesn't bode well) it's amazing how long this project hung in there despite countless directors, release dates, etc.

Joker and Wonder Woman being so close together is weird. Wonder if Joker will be moved up, should take New Mutants' spot.

I truly don’t get Fox giving yet another date to Gambit. Are they just going through the motions, knowing that the project will be killed by Disney’s execs but still doing their jobs until the axe falls?

Most likely that is what they are up to. Gambit is obviously not going to happen. It still doesn't have a director and who knows if Tatum is even interested anymore.

How is that a fuck you to Disney? Because he has another job? He will be directing a lesser property for an inferior studio as part of a worse franchise.

It would be nice if it opens vs a marvel film, to really make it a revenge thing.

They wouldn't dare open against a Marvel film though.

I recall when Batman vs. Superman was up against Civil War. Good thing for both films (but BvS especially) that that it didn't stay that way.

Not just a Marvel film, but any superhero/comic-book movie....there are enough weeks in the year that you don't need to open in the same one as one of those.

The Ezra Miller Flash movie has been delayed to 2021.

Someone pointed out that Miller was cast a month after the CW series premiered and that the film, at earliest, will be released sometime during the show's eighth season. That's one long development cycle.

Hellboy is a DC comic. But I assume you're only including movies part of the DC universe as DC?

He had a Batman crossover issue.

There was also an Avengers-Justice League crossover. Is Superman now a Marvel character? Is Iron Man now DC?

Bradley Cooper should direct Guardians if he does not win the Oscar. Any outsider brought in will face scrutiny from the cast and audience. If he does win then I'd encourage him to take a blank check and make whatever the hell he wants - Nolan style.

So like... wtf is going on with New Mutants. They should've just released it last year if these reshoots and what not didn't do it any favors. I did see that the trailer description has the August release date but idk.

Post subject:  Re: Marvel/DC/Comic Book Movie Discussion

Did they even do the reshoots yet? It's been remarkably quiet. I did see the director set his Instagram (which had been filled with updates/photos/art of the movie) to "private" when the delays were announced but it seems it's public again now.

Honestly, if it's bad I'd prefer they just bury it and send it to streaming so we can get a shot at a real New Mutants introduction in the MCU.
