DC really needs to bump Suicide Squad 2 up to like... March/April.

Wonder when we'll find out MCU's batch of films next year. I guess it's Black Widow, Eternals and...

Guardians 3 will probably be 2022.

I doubt they'll announce it at Comic-Con. They'll probably wait until D23, which is August 23-25. So... this will probably get a large update then.

I would assume DC will announce some things at Comic-Con though.

I also heard we may get Batman casting soon?! (whatever soon means)

I guess the question is how long can they wait to start promoting the May 2020 film?

Last time they had a 10 month movie gap was from Ant-Man to Civil War.

They can't do another Avengers film in May 2020 can they?

Nah they’ll wait at least 5 years before another one I’m thinking. Next one will be fucking awesome with characters from X-men and FF.

Any theories on what next year's May MCU movie is?

I'm guessing it was supposed to be Guardians 3, but that's obviously not happening by then.

Maybe The Eternals? Maybe the Black Widow film? I honestly have no idea. I don't think they're in production on anything right now, so I can't imagine it can even be something with a huge budget.

Apparently Guardians 3 will be shooting at some point in 2020. Could make that May 2021 date.

So it would film after SS but release before? This situation is a mess. WB should get a new director before its too late. It was a gimmick hiring that is pointless now.

Also Black Widow is in production now. The only way it could be something else is if they secretly already finished filming the Doctor Strange sequel.

May 2020 will be Black Widow. Supposedly going into production sometime in May.
Won’t need too much special effects done so should make the deadline I’m thinking.

I watched a nice video looking ahead to the next core group of Avengers films. Originally we had of course IM, CA, Hulk, Hawkeye, BW and Thor.

Who do you guys think will be leading the next few Avengers films?

I would think it's BP, CM, DS, SM, AM and The Wasp.

I imagine they'll keep Hulk around for appearances here and there, ditto with Ant-Man.

So that leaves Spider-Man, Captain Marvel, Black Panther, Doctor Strange, The Wasp, Shang-Chi?, Falcaptain America, Guardians (in some capacity maybe?), Thor possibly?, Valkyrie.

I'm very interested in the Shang Chi movie. Lets get some kung fu martial arts action hip again.

Apparently Wiki says his powers are: Superb athlete; Master martial artist; Ability to create duplicates of himself

I’m hearing Sony’s going to take back Spider-Man :(
Far From Home will be his next to last MCU film.

I don't see that being reported anywhere.

According to https://www.elitedaily.com/p/how-long-i ... od-8972323

Quote:
Moreover, Tom Holland got locked down when he took this role. Disney and Marvel have him under contract for six films, of which Avengers: Infinity War is only the third. That means he's got a least two more films he owes them after his sequel.

Civil War
Homecoming
Infinity War
Endgame
Far From Home

One left :(

I hope they sign him up to 6 more films

Sony could have had rights to all marvel characters in late 90's and screwed up big time.

Quote:
The Big Picture: The Fight for the Future of Movies by Ben Fritz includes an interview with Yair Landau, the executive who was responsible for acquiring the rights to the character for Sony. This was back in 1998; Marvel Entertainment was recovering from financial difficulties, and responded to Landau's request for Spider-Man by saying Sony could have access to pretty much every iconic character in the Marvel stable, including Iron Man and Black Panther, for the sum of $25 million.

Landau informed Sony of this counter-offer, and recalls the reply with remarkable clarity. Apparently, one of the head honchos said: "Nobody gives a shit about any of the other Marvel characters. Go back and do a deal for only Spider-Man."

Thank god they only bought Spider-Man IP or we wouldn’t have the MCU as we know it.

Cant Matt Reeves fast track Batman. He has been working on the script for so long and once they cast Bats it can move quickly. Well reviewed Bats movie could make bank in any season.

I'd think if any movie takes that Dec 2020 slot, it would be SS2. It's already mostly cast, Gunn has already been storyboarding.
